knotter prob with NH276

I have a N H 276 twine tye and it has been tyeing fine till yesterday -- just started not pushing knot off the left side --cleaned baler out - tied bungie straps to twine and rolled over slowly --tyes correctly till gets to point of pushing knot off hook -seems to be tyed too tight ----any help --only difference in 2 sides is spring on side seems to be collapsed--? Thanks

The scraper (also called the wiper arm) should peel the knot off of the billhook foot while the tongue is open. If the wiper arm is loose or the fit is poor due to wear or travel, bend it until it is tight. Its made from malleable iron. Use a Cresent wrench to grab it and another one to grab the wrench at 90 degrees and give it a small twist. If the billhook tongue doesn't open, the camb is worn, the roller is shot (or gone) or there is wear in the gear (or a broken tooth in the gear).

thanks --I rebuilt the knotters 2 yr ago and have not baled over 1500 since ---stopped tying when I baled some weedy grass --way too heavy bales -bet I bent the wiper arm a little --it is new also ---Thanks

it was simple --I just couldn't see it -- knife was bent --
