Have a 310 baler that I'm having trouble with the knotter on one side. It periodically misties and on other bales, the twine breaks right at the knot. Any idea on what the problem might be and how to fix it?

There are different ways for twine to break at the knot and several potential causes. Step 1 is to determine which twine is breaking, the one held in the twine disc or the one brought up by the needle. Check the knife arm hook for deep grooves or rough spots. Loosen the twine holder spring retaining bolt 1/6 of a turn. If you do not have am OEM operator manual for your baler, get one. The knotter troubleshooting section and systematic knotter adjustment procedures are worthwhile.

You might find a video on youtube on this.

I have a NH 310 too...RickB is right on about getting a manual. Many thing could be happening to prevent a good knot. Timing of the needles for instance. Have to get the twine into the knotter at the right time. There's too many things to cover in a forum post.
