I recevied my DK35/KL1450 and there was a issue with the loader functions.
I'll call them stages of the joystick. If you push the stick up (stage 1) the loader arms went up. If you pushed the stick up again (stage 2 )the arms went down. I called the dealer and tried to explain to him that I thought something was wrong with it and this being my first tractor it might have been my inexperance but the dealer send a mechanic over to check it out.
The mechanic took the valve apart and changed some hoses around cycled it a few times and left. Now I'm wondering how the different stages are supposed to work. After the mechanic left I took it out and was trying to get reaquanted with the new functions. Now if I push the stick up (stage 1) the arms go down. When I go into (stage 2 ) the stick locks in postion and the bucket/arms float. Now here is the tricky part if I push the stick to the right the bucket curls back(to hold a load) if I push the stick to the left (stage 1) the bucket dumps, to the left again (stage 2 to the left) the stick doesnt lock in this postion and it dumps even farther.
Is this the way it supposed to be ? Feels kinda weired after I had already gotten used to the way it was before it was fixed.
Should I call them back to look at it again or is it just a matter of getting used to it all over again ?

Thanks for you input.

My loader controls work like this

down on the stick raises the bucket (only one position)
up on the stick to the first position lowers the bucket with power and will lift the front end of the tractor if you keep going. Second position up is the float position which will lower the bucket under its own weight, stopping when it hits the ground. Leaving it this position allows the bucket to somewhat float over the contour of the land.
Left on the stick curls the bucket. Right to the first position dumps the bucket under power. Right to the second position dumps the bucket in float position under its own weight. If your pattern is different, your hoses may be hooked up incorrectly because I believe float positions are usually associated with down and dump directions. Hope this helps.

Mine is like bncsauve's except for the hard right function dumps the bucket with more speed under power rather than a float type function, also no detent to the far right.

The mechanic got the boom up and down right, but got your bucket curl hoses wrong.

Far to the right is not a float position. It is the regen position. A float position makes both sides of the cylinder (both work ports) exhaust ports. The regen position takes exhaust from one side of the cylinder and redirects it into the other side of the cylinder. Big difference.

Put it this way, at 200 hours I wanted to replace it with a Woods or Rhino and the dealer would not take it in trade. bcs
