How would I know if a tractors loader has the new re-enforcement?

Photos of what to look for?

My loader has the torque tube re-enforcement kit on it.

In the following picture, you'll see about 6 shiny bolt heads at the bottom of the loader torque tube. These are holding on the "cover" that completely covers the torque tube to stiffen it.

If you don't have all of these bolts holding the cover on there, you don't have the kit installed. Some of the other guys might have more pictures of close-ups and such they can post or point you to. This was all I had handy.

Thanks for the photos, are these retro fit and/or they also on new units?

Those are retro fit and could also be found on a newer tractor that had been sitting on a dealers lot, but the new loader KL120B (I believe) which should be found a brand new tractor 2007 models has the torque tube extend through the loader arms. If you do a search you should be able to find some posts with pics.

THanks I will check but if someone has some photos that would be great!

Up until last month our dealer was convinced the retrofit was this years model, he wants $2000.00 to upgrade to the new loader arms, thinking its just a coverup and I wasted some 2500 dollars on the loader, saying that the tractor is great, too bad the accessory is the let down, caution, the dealars do speak for the product and not all good

My KL130B, 2007 model year, is the newly designed loader with the torque tube penetrating both sides of both loader arms and reinforced with 5/16" plates welded on both sides of both arms. I've picked up one side of large rocks (~4'x4'x3' size), est about 4000lbs and beyond the advertised specs for it, with no surface cracking.

The guys from Maine and Vermont and New Hampshire have prolly scooted bigger rocks around with it.

btw, the hollow torque-tube is handy to carry shovel and rake in too.

I have a KL120 with about 260 hours on it and the loader has cracks. I got the letter from Kioti and contacted my dealer several months ago. He said it would take a while to get the parts since he would be waiting to hear from others and would make a consolidated order for the parts. As of about a week ago, he said the parts have still not come in. Given the pictures in this tread, it appears there are several loaders that do have the parts. I am wondering if there are others that are experiencing the delay that I am.

I would imagine that the reason the parts were not in, was that they had not ordered them yet.

My reinforcement was put on last week, It looks a little bulky at first, but it grows on you.

Isn't there a deadline to get the kit installed or Kioti won't cover the cost to install (I know Kioti won't pay for transport of the machine to the dealer, but the parts and labor cost for the dealer to install) etc.?

I remember the original KL-120 loader letter was very aggressive (April 2007 or something and it was already february or march) and it was delayed due to a delay back to Korea. Then early summer I got my letter and my dealer quickly did a bunch of installs for everyone.

September is coming to mind for the "official" loader letter... but I can't remember and don't have my loader letter handy.

If there is a deadline to get the kit installed, you should tell your dealer to consider it if he's waiting for enough people to request the kit to make a blanket order for the kits. You don't want to be stuck paying for parts / labor for an item that should be covered by Kioti.

Thanks for the replies. Your thinking is much the same as mine on this. I will bug him about it again soon.

This loader issue has soured me on Kioti. My cracks extend beyond the inspection plate and the dealer that I purchased my CK20 from has gone out of business. (Outdoor Power Store, Greenfield IN).

I would be happy to pay shipping cahrges to have the parts delivered to me so I could install them myself but I am told that I need to take my tractor over 100 miles to get it fixed.

No thanks.
I will leave it the way it is, or maybe come up with a fix on my own. I will certainly remember this when it is time to buy another tractor.

Corporate Kioti continues to be really dumb in their handling of this issue. You shouldn't need to take your tractor to a dealer when it is so inconvenient and expensive to do so especially since all they will do is bolt on a kit.

You might inquire of some of the TBN active dealers to see if they will send you a kit. I had several offer to do that for me with my CK20. All they needed was the loader serial number and all they were asking was that I not publicize they had sent me the kit. In fact I never took them up on the offer simply because I ended up trading the tractor in to a Kioti dealer before I got around to installing a repair kit.
