Kioti DK55C
Hi all,
This morning I was out moving a couple of piles of heavy dirt with my DK55c tractor and KL 1595 loader, I was pushing hard into the pile to get a good bucket full when all of a sudden I heard a BIG POP!! I immediately shut down the tractor got out and did a visual inspection. No oil leaks or any broken parts so I got in fired er up backed up some and raised the boom on the loader and the bucket just went limp! It appears that something internal in the bucket cylinders has broken. When I move the loader joy stick to operate the bucket roll and dump I can see the hoses that feed the bucket cylinders flex a bit and there is a little RPM draw but the bucket cylinders will not move. so it appears that the problem is in the bucket cylinders as everything else operates as it should. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gifAny ideas??
Thanks Pat

I absolutlely hate my 1595 loader and am waiting patiently for a replacement. My self leveling tubes , for lack of anything better to call them, bent and made a noise. Is this what happened to you. When you raise and curl simultaneously they do not like it. Had to get a new pressure relief valve for the self leveler. I hate the self leveler as well. CAnnot waite for the new loader. I love the DK 55 however. Been logging with it and pplowed snow all winter , no problem.

The pistons are two way and should work one way or the other. I wonder if you blew the control unit. You say that the loader boom still works, right?

The bucket cylinders do not operate either way, yes the boom operates correctly. I also swapped the four hoses that feed the loader at the quick connects (bucket cylinders for boom cylinders) so that the when I move the joy stick left or right (normally bucket cylinders) now become boom cylinders and that works correctly. So I guess that eliminates the control valve from being bad. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Have you discovered anything yet ? These loaders seem to have problems. Mine is going this week to be taken off and hopefully replaced with something that matches the power of the tractor better.

Kioti thinks that I blew my bucket cylinders, they are sending me two new cylinders I sure hope that solves the problem!
What loader are you replacing your KL1595 with? I also agree with you that the KL1595 loader is a DOG.

Hopefully a Woods 1020 . I dropped the tractor off today am going away for a week tomorrow and will hopefully be surprised and fixed when I get back . Best of luck . I will keep you informed on the new loaders performance.

Got my DK 55 back this Saturday. I now have a Woods 1020 loader on it. This loader actually works and performs on a par with the tractor. It rolls back with conviction, has a better roll back angle and lifts much higher than the Kioti 1595. I can actually use the pallet forks now with confidence that they will lift logs and curl . No more self leveling loaders for this guy.

PLP, was just wondering if you ever solved your problem? Was it the cylinders and what happened to them? Thanks, John

PLP,
Sorry to hear about your 1595. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif I keep hearing bad things about these Kioti MSL-FEL's. So far I have been pleased with my Kubota 1162 MSL loader, I wonder what is so different about them? They don't look all that different. I can understand some people not liking the way an MSL loader works (especially if you are accustomed to manually leveling), but I don't think the design should be inherently bad. I also hear about this loader having inadequate dump/rollback angles, the 1162 actually has better d/r angles (45/40) over the non-MSL 1002 loader (38/25).

I hope your new loader works out better for you and provides the performance to match that tractor. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Good luck,

I did resolve my bucket cylinder issue, by replacing both bucket cylinders with new ones. After removing the old cylinders I noticed that one cylinder was extended more than the other, so I gave it a little yank! and the whole male part of the cylinder shaft came out of the housing. It appears that the nut on the end of the cylinder shaft that holds everything together with in the cylinder body was stripped right off the end of the shaft. FEL seems to work fine except both new bucket cylinders now seep oil. Oh well, at least I can use my loader again. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Thanks to all !

Pat, I sent you a private message concerning the leaks. In case you're not familiar with the PMs, click on "My Home" near the top of the page and then received messages. John
