Tiller KK XB - "Lift Arm Brace"

Recently purchased a KK XB 48" tiller at auction. There is a square hollow bar about 1" square and 18"-24" long on the outside right of the tiller. Manual seems to list it as "Lift Arm Brace".

Can not determine the use for this bar.

Any insight will be greatly appreciated.

Photos would help but my guess is that it might be a leg for the tiller to balance on once you take the tiller off the tractor. Is there a pin that you can remove so you can flip the leg over? I'll look for a photo... Might be an earlier version of this?

Thanks teg - that has to be it. If I have it right - this brace keeps the tiller from rolling forward - the picture you attached is very just like my unit - only mine is on the right.
