Kioti warranty termination after *any* DIY work? Really?!?!

The mfg can void warranty on the components that were damaged as a direct result of aftermarket parts being installed or poor workmanship by the installer but that's about it. If the customer replaces a light and the transmission fails later - the mfg hasn't got a leg to stand on to say the light caused the transmission failure.

Most warranties cover manufacturer defect. Most components have a life to them and cannot be warranted for ever. The problem is some people think their failure is a manufacture defect when in reality it was caused by operator error or abuse.

One cannot expect a manufacturer to warranty a aftermarket part that they had nothing to do with that part. I am sure Kioti has covered plenty of failures as other manufacturers do.

My 2013 CK30H has operated flawlessly with over 500 hours. No problems whatsoever. Would definitely buy a Kioti again.

Every electrical powered whatever it is has pages of lawyer talk that any sane person ignores. Electric fans and much, much more.

Yes, but most of those 'whatevers' don't require warranty repairs that can be in the $1,000's ...

Thanks for everyone's helpful, sometimes entertaining comments! As said earlier, I fully realize this is CYA lawyer-eze to scare you into using dealer parts/service, that you see in almost any equipment warranty. What concerns me though is a tractor isn't just 'any' equipment, and warranty claims can easily be in the $1,000's. It also surprised me too that this wasn't really fine-print or lawyerly language ... it was pretty blatantly stated in very plain talk. At the end of the day I'll use Kioti parts/service where it makes sense and generally ignore that statement. Just curious what others had run into.
