Kioti vs Bobcat loaders

I just noticed for the first time that Bobcat & Kioti use different loaders for the same tractors...

The specs are pretty close, but I noticed that on Bobcat's loader, the curl piston/cylinder attach is right to the Quick Connect at the bucket... Which is different than every other loader I've seen, whereas that lower cylinder is attached to a intermediate pivot piece.

Anyways, does anyone have any direct experience with both loaders so much that they can say which loader is better?

I prefer the Kioti loader it has a lot more curl, I've used both and it seems more difficult to fill the bucket with a Bobcat loader. Someone told me that you can buy a kit from Bobcat to increase the curl on their loaders, also have used both backhoes and again the Kioti seems to be built stronger and has more dogging power, jmho Ray

The extra curl allows me to use a 90 deg back manure bucket. My buddy borrowed the bucket and had trouble as his loader didn't have enough roll back. I assume the bobcat version gives a bit more power?

the mccormick x10 series use woods loaders. they are a red kioti/bobcat. I liked the lower boom profile of the woods loader compared to the kioti sitting next to it on a ds45 but the kioti loader had a single handle quick attach which i thought was a nice touch.

The Kioti loaders have a different profile from the CK to DK series. The KL401 (the one on that DK45) is a very strong loader, do you know how the Woods version on the x10 series compares? I wasn't a huge fan of my KL130 from my CK30, it seem under powered, but I love the KL401, it's a monster.

Interesting... I had completely forgotten about McCormick.

Just checked their site, their loader on the "X10.40/X10.50" (DK40/50) specs pretty close also...

Lift height: M= 107.85" / K=107.8"
Dump Clearance: M=85.07" / K=79.9"
Lift weight Cap: M=2650lbs / K=2761
Breakout: M=3578 / K=3727

I have had both the Bobcat and the Kioti FELs on essentially the same tractor, the CK30/CT230.

The wider bkt pin spacing of the Bobcat FEL certainly does give it more breakout force, at the
expense of range of movement.

When I adapted a 4-in-1 bkt to my Kioti loader, I went to a wider pin spacing, like Bobcat's, and
the additional breakout force is quite noticable.

Interesting... I wonder if you can adjust the pin spacing on ANY quick-attach plates for any tractor? My breakout is rated around 4350# but I wouldn't mind more of course.

Sure. But the limiting factor is how much less curl can you live with? Increasing the
moment arm (distance betw the force and the pivot) multiplies your force, but the
range of motion is less.

Also note that increasing your breakout force this way will also put a greater induced load
on your loader boom and its hyd cylinders.
