Kioti under the weather

This may not be the right place for this question, but I got fuel today toped off my Yellow Fuel container, and as I filled it I had to stop a couple or time to wait for the foam to go down to continue filling the container, being new to diesel is this normal? Thanks, worried it might be water or some other contaminate or maybe just normal.

As the fuel comes to the top (full mark) it will be foamy..It is normal.

Thanks Wallace / Mousefield, Never owned a diesel before, so experience was a little strange, foaming fuel that is, I also had the choice of ultra low sulfur regular or Ultra of same ( high test ), at a local Shell dealer, is ultra diesel a better choice.

As for my Miata with a supercharges the other toy:cool:, I need the High octane to reduce or eliminate Ping, it too is a convertable like my Kioti.LOL:D

I would think the regular is fine. I use a fuel additive to keep the fuel from gelling and it lowers the cetane also. So maybe it's close to the ultra. Kind of get two for one deal with the additive.

I always condition my fuel using PowerService in the white bottle :) Works great for me.

I always use powerservice even in the summer. Although it did sit out side for a couple weeks with a quarter tank in it. There was some good fluctuation in the temps in that time, so there may be moister in the fuel.
Did call to check with them today and they said that there was a problem with an injector. Mechanic was not around to get more details, but they said it would be ready middle of the week. Waiting to get full story next week before I get too disappointed with my beloved kioti and company, only 286 hrs. and problems like this already?????

I know it's a little hard to take, but to me it doesn't sound too serious. If you have 286 hours without any issues, then I'd say you have a very good machine. It will build your confidence again, I'm sure.

This reminds me a bit of people saying they feel Toyota has lost their reputation as a safety conscientious company. If that was the case, why did they bother with a recall?

I believe the CK-20 has a four year warranty, doesn't it?

Good luck.

Not to worry- that is WHY you have a warranty in the first place; to take care of issues that come up. Injectors fail- assuming that is what it turns out to be, on all makes/models of tractors/trucks/cars, etc.
Microscopic sized dirt particles can kill an injector, as can other things- and sometimes they just fail for no apparent reason.

BTW, I'm coming down to your town (my seasonal town) relatively soon and would like to meet up with you at some point to compare tractor notes, etc. If that is of interest let me know by PM.
Also, I may have some work for your tractor at my place, since I can't trailer and don't want to trailer mine down from VT. Does yours have a BH on it? I can't remember if it does or not?

Check old posts. There have been quite a few injector failures on CK25s and CK30s. Mine failed at about 300 hours. Luckily under warranty. I'm told it's like a $1500 repair. I just hope the replacement doesn't crap out so fast.

An injection pump failure off warranty might be around $1500, but not a bad injector by itself.
