05 Kioti CK30HST w/ Prairie Dog backhoe, XN08 mini-X
For you Kioti experts:

What is the problem with the Kioti factory website? All it has is a
"Find a Dealer in Your Area" applet. No links to tractor data like it
used to have. A couple of banner ads and a link for financing. It
has been this way for months. Fortunately some dealers have
posted their own info.

I would like to know:

> what is the weight of the CK35 HST? The brochure lists the
weight for the gear version only. I just found out that Kioti
quotes the CK30HST as 3329 lb in the owner's manual, but
3042 in the brochure and service manual. Quite a diff! What is
correct? Maybe someone has a CK35H owner's manual?

> for the DK35SE HST, the total hyd flow is specced at 15.2GPM.
Kioti does not quote the implement pump flow. It is prob in the
service manual as with the CK30. Anyone have a service manual
and can quote the implement pump flow?

The site seems to be working for me. What browser are you using. The web site lists the CK30 HST Weight w/ Ag Tires w/ ROPS 3055 lbs. (1386kg)

The CK35 HST Weight w/ Ag Tires w/ ROPS 3,118 lbs. (1,414kg)

Sorry I don't have a manual for those, I own a CK25. But Kioti's web site seems to work for me. Hopefully some with those machines or a dealer can help out.

It is confusing, always takes me a while to remember what to do.

Click on some of the stuff at the top, "Products" etc.

Download and install firefox for your computer (works on Mac, Linux, Windows, anything). If you are using windoze, you're better off with Firefox as far as security goes.

Firefox - Rediscover the Web

To get the full experience of the site, you'll need the flashplayer plugin. When you visit the site with firefox, just click on the plugin installation (looks like a puzzle piece) and you'll get the nice animations the site has.

Firefox is an alternative to Internet Exploder for web browsing.

Interesting the Kioti site works for some others. It stopped
working for me about March I think. Large parts of the home
page have big boxes with small red 'x's in them. I suspected
it might have to do with my browser, but I am one of millions
using AOL 9. I can not even get to the old "products" tab.

I have also seen the 3055 weight listed for the CK30. I
wonder about the 3329 number, but it is clearly printed in the
owners manual. Now if we can only get our first CK35H owner
to post on TBN...... A DK35SE HST owner would be nice too.

Gravel13, what does your owners manual say about the weight of
your CK25?

I've also had trouble at times with the Kioti (and other) websites while browsing with IE 6 or 7. Firefox has always worked though.

dfkrug, you would have to ask. I've had my owners manual in one spot since I bought the tractor and then about a month ago my wife did some spring cleaning and i can't for the life of me find it. I'm leaving today for a little fishing trip and will be back on Sunday, I definitely find it then and let you know, or if I come across it while packing I'll post it.

Let me add to the choir. When I started using IE 7, I had many wierd problems in lots of web sites. The Kioti site became unavailable. I switched to firefox and all of the problems went away. I'm a believer.

I've used Firefox for mail and browser for the past 2 -2 1/2 years since I've been on TBN. There was a thread about it at or around the time I joined and I've been using it and have never had any problems like I did with IE no matter what version.

Thx for posting the CK35H data, Sandlot. I am able to see
part of that page on the Kioti website, if I go to it directly
using the URL you quoted.

Seems like Kioti is still pretty sloppy about proof-reading as
they say the CK35H has 4 cylinders and it is known to have
only 3. Anyway, this is the first published data I have seen
on the HST version. The paper brochure only talks about the
gear.

As for alternative browsers, I am aware of them, of course, but it
seems silly to spend the hours to download FireFox by dialup
cuz only one website is not viewable. AOL 9 is based upon
a version of MS Internet Explorer, with some modification, and it
works quite well. I DO avoid running IE separately due to the
fact that it is the most popular target for malware. As for
security, I can avoid malware and virus attacks by connecting
online using a limited privalege (guest) account.

The site shows the CK25 as 3042 lbs, the manuel shows it as 3007 lbs gear or 3020 lbs for the HST.

Thx for posting, Harvey.

I am inclined to think the Owner's Manual weights are more accurate
than the sales brochure weights for both tractors, but the 3329 lb
number for the CK30H is hard to believe. From the look of what is
in my Service Manual, the publisher seems to have taken the sales
brochure spec table verbatim and inserted it.

I found specifications data to be unreliable. You don't necessarily get what you see on brochures or specifications.

As well, USA models don't even look like those marketed in another country. I am referring here to Australia. Different fenders, different size tires and a host of other things. Yet US brochures are used for marketing here.

My dealer confirmed it.

That is indeed the case. The 3 criteria I mentioned (weight, hyd flow,
engine hp) are key to making a buying decision. The unreliable #s out
there make these decisions even tougher.

My latest experience is an upgrade from DK35 to DK40, but went from an electric 4WD switch to a mechanical lever type (which won't move) and from a seat with height adjustment to one without height adjustment (and sits too low).

All came as a surprise. Thinking of returning it for full refund.

Interesting....I did not know that the DK35 had an adjustable height
seat. The CK30 and 20 do not. The CKs also have mechanical 4WD
engagement and require some encouragement to get into gear. The
same is true of the HST range selector, which often requires lifting the
front end with the loader to allow engagement. Minor annoyances, rather
than real problems. (Features, not bugs.)

On my request the dealer swapped my old seat and seatbelt on the DK35 for the new one on the DK40. Now I can adjust the height again, and seatbelts don't get lost under the seat.

Really strange how they market their stuff:

Your tractor may come with electric 4WD switch or mechanical lever.

It may come with a seat that allows height adjustment (as well as backwards/forwards and angle) or not.

It may come with different fenders than shown on the brochure.

It may come without a horn or mirror(s).

It may come without mid PTO evenso the brochure says is has it.

Your dealer may or may not tell you about the above things, or whatever else. You need to familiarize yourself with the machine 100% and specify everything on your order with the right to a full refund if any of the items do not exist or the tractor is simply different.

.

I have noticed some of these variations in the parts books, starting
with my first tractor, a Kubota. It seems the horn and mirror "options"
were made for European mkts. No mention of Asia/Aust/SA etc. I
wonder if a horn and mirror are requirements placed on manufacturers
shipping to Europe. I added my own to my Kioti. Great to have.

Your dealer sound like a good one. Next time I go to Australia I will
take a close look at your Kiotis, if I see any.

dfkrug, try dumping your temporary internet files, cookies and history, then reconnect online. AOL is a HUGE memory monster and is tough to use via dial up. See if clearing your Temp files helps with the Kioti site viewing/navigating.
