Kioti size help

Years ago I upped from a small 20HP LB1914 Kioti to a DK40. Main reason was loader capacity. After I got used to it I found I also liked the hydro much better.

I have a dependable Kioti dealer within 10 miles of my house.

"It has been touched on a couple of times but not directly as a buying factor.

Every major make has a machine that will do the job(s) you want. Check out your nearby dealers, and go with one you have confidence in.

A great machine with no support nearby is a hassle to repair and maintain.

And a good machine can't make a lousy dealer into a good dealer."

I had a JD 2355 with loader. The tractor was ok but was only 2wd and it didn't have a fully synchronized gears. I sold it and want something 4wd and either HST or at least shuttle shift. I love JD larger tractors but am not sold on their smaller economy tractors. I have a Kioti dealer within 10 miles of my house and they are dependable people. The only problem is they are almost sold out of inventory but they do have a slightly used (repoed) NX4010 cab tractor with like 260 hrs for $ 29,000ish. The same dealer does also carries Massey Ferguson and has more of those in inventory but my understanding is they are more geared toward "AG" tractors.
You also have another Kioti dealer within your reach in Murfreesboro. They have been known to have some pretty decent package deals.

Right in between the CK2610 and NX6010 (both in size and cost) is the DK4510 which is what I recently bought. I mow about 26 acres of my 40 acre place which is fairly hilly. I had previously used a MF1250 (34 HP/27 PTO HP) with a 60" Bush Hog Squealer. It served me well for 27 years but the DK4510 does the job in less than half the time using half the fuel. I also purchased a Land Pride RCD1884 Dual Spindle 84" rotary mower which is easily powered by the DK. Since I use the tractor mostly for mowing on hills, I opted for the manual shuttle which leaves me 42 PTO HP. The tractor is also heavy enough for the 72" root grapple that I bought with the tractor. You may want to take a look at the DK series. I was able to add many of the niceties like rubber mat, air ride seat, telescoping links, rear remotes, with third function and grapple for under $30K.
Just bought RX 7320 with 3 Rd function and loader and Xtra rear remote for under 35 k. Went to buy nx 5510 loaded. The rx I came home with was less than 2500 more. The RX 7320 is a premium loaded machine. It is awesome with a 72 inch grapple !

Looking to buy my first Kioti tractor for my 26 acre farm. The tasks are bush-hogging 20 acres once per year that includes steep hills, tilling my vegetable garden, 1000ft gravel driveway maintenance, cutting and hauling wood for winter and just general tractor and loader work. I think the ck2610 would suit most of my needs except bush hogging. Just cant see doing it with a 5ft BH. Im leaning toward Nx 6010. Im assuming I can run a 6ft BH and might get away with a 7ft. What are your thoughts?

I run a Woods BB720X (6') that weights something around 1200 pounds with few problems on the back of my NX6010 using a Cat 2 SpeeCo quick attach. Over the years, I've gone through a set of blades after breaking a blade in two, I've had to service the clutch (adjustment only since it was never set right out of the box), and two weeks ago I broke off the plate bolted to the axle that holds a stabilizer link. I noted the other side was also working and so I made two new tougher mounts. The mounts broke from my eight seasons of taking the cutter and leaning it on poplar trees and bending them down to the ground and the whole process of making them will be the next video on my channel. Other than that, I think the cutter is a very good match for the kind of brushing I do. I will say this: "mowing with a brush cutter is way, way faster than mowing with my commercial Ferris mower that has an airseat and independent suspension.

One thing you should take note to check: look on the underside of whatever tractor you get for any soft parts that a bit of stray brush could rip off or jam. On my Kioti, a 2014 model, the fuel outlet line is exposed at the lowest point on the inboard side of the tank and runs from sis to side making it stupid easy to snag and break off the fuel nipple from the tank (it happened to me on my second outing of brush cutting and I believe Kioti sorted this issue out on later models). Also, do not get the mid-PTO installed. On my fourth or fifth outing of brush cutting a stick skewered the output shaft seal and then attempted to dump all 13 gallons of hydro-trans oil out on the ground. My solution was to remove the mid-PTO output and make a cheesy-three piece skid plate to protect these soft parts. Even so I've had sticks jam both my brake lever on from the underside, as well as a random twig pop a plug off of my transmission.

Now that the tractor is sitting at my Tinkerage, I'm going to make a more substantial skid plate for the underside of my NX either on my plasma table or freehand it.
