Yea that hanging hose is a pain. I am trying a couple different things. I'll let you know if I come up with something that works and you do the same. I have worked with hydraulics for years and learned that you always have to be watching things. If you keep up with little things it will save big problems down the line. I keep a wrench handy in my tool box behind the seat just to snug and tweek things as needed. I used to maintain some crane grapples with six hyd cylinders on each one that were always loosing set screws as you described and causing problems. It seemed to be common.
Good luck with your hoe. Mine has been performing nicely. I have removed many stumps already and stumping is hard work for a hoe. It moves dirt like a charm and I have moved some HUGE rocks with it.
