KIOTI OWNERS?

<font color=blue>"...but if any of you every need anything at all, then pleae feel free to give me a yell at the e-mail listed below."</font color=blue>

Redstone,

There was no e-mail listed that I saw. You could also include your e-mail address in your bio so a person could click on it there. At the same time, why not include your, or a Kioti, website that could be accessed?

I'm still searching for my tractor, but I have been impressed with what I have seen of the Kioti. My problem is that there are not too many dealers in my neck of the woods.

Thanks for the offer of help. I'm sure you will get quite a few responses, once you make it a little easier to get to you /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif!

I have updated my bio as requested. Thanks for the advice.

Also, I am getting the information together for the purchase of Kioti merchandise and I will post a message for all once I get it completed in the next day or two.

In case any one was wondering, Kioti does have a fairly thorough web site at www.kiotitractor.com.

Please let me know if you need anything else.

Just ask your dealer to get you a hat, they can be ordered from Kioti. Jackets , shirts(t and golf) can all be ordered.

Benjamin,

I visited Kioti's website. It is very informative. But there is no pricing information. In general, what would the base price be for a LK3054 and a DK35. I've seen posts from different guys that mention prices for their Kioti's, but it usually includes the loader, MMMM, etc. I'd just like the base price so I know what the starting point is.

By the way, I have located a dealer that is about a 75 minute drive from here, but he has no e-mail or web site listed that I could find. It appears that he might be a farmer who is selling Kiotis (and other construction equipment) on the side. Is this common for Kioti dealers? I would think he wouldn't have a lot of support under these conditions. Again, I may be wrong, but he's listed under Farms in the phone book. I am planning a visit to his place some time soon to see what it's like.

Thanks for any help you can provide. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Here's a sampling of Kioti pricing I pulled off a dealer's website. Of course, there may be other dealers with better/worse deals, but this may give you the "idea" you were wanting. Hope this helps....

LK2554 24hp $ 9,925 $13,329
LK3052 30hp $10,999 $14,699
LK3054 30hp $11,099 $14,799
LK3504 35hp $12,899 $16,598
DK35 35hp $13,099 $16,599
DK40 40hp $14,499 $18,298

These should be considered bottom dollar prices!! This is surely to start a price comparison thread. Be sure to check price same-for-same. Some dealers use Non-Kioti equip to get the prices down.

Kioti went through last year and cut all dealers who were not selling a substantial quantity of units during the year. This was done for several reasons. First, Kioti wanted to be able to concentrate on the dealers who were serious about selling the Kioti line. Secondly, there were a lot of people trying to sell Kioti on the side of the road as in the case you are speaking of and as you can see, this reflects somewhat poorly on the Kioti product. I don't know the situation that you are speaking of, but I would urge you to be careful. They may be a honest group of people but what is to say that they will be in business when you need to have your tractor serviced, warranty work done, etc. I would strongly advise using one of the dealers listed on the Kioti web site due to the fact that they have been strictly regulated and filtered out by Kioti. You may want to send Kioti a message asking them if this is a dealer that you can trust. Kioti is a great line and the Kioti Company WILL stand firmly behind their product. However, it is imperative that you have a dealer who will also give their word that they stand behind the Kioti product.

I hope this was of some assitance.

True, True. See if they have DK's usually the fly-by-nighters don't have DK's. Redstone knows what he's talkin' about.

Thanks for the info.

This "dealer" isn't listed in the dealer locator. I actually e-mailed Kioti directly and asked where the closest dealer was to me. They responded (which was pretty good compared to some manufacturers!) with this dealer's name. I did an internet map search to find out how to get there, and that's when I found out he was listed as a farm.

Even if Kioti gave me his name, you think he might be one of these side of the road guys?

The prices are from an "authorized" Kioti dealer's website. - e.g. Kioti tractor, the company, has a list of "authorized" dealers on their web site -- the dealer where I cited the prices from is one of the links listed on Kioti Tractors web site.

Here's the link to the dealers that Kioti lists...

<A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.kiotitractor.com/links[1].html>http://www.kiotitractor.com/links[1].html</A>

As far as the prices go, actually I consider that these prices are pretty good too, but I don't think it has anything to do with substandard/aftermarket add-ons. The prices are actually from the same dealer that sold me my Mahindra. They had a lot of Kiotis on the lot, all with Kioti loaders. (I don't even remember seeing another brand loader around -- well, except for the Mahindra loaders /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif.)

They had the best price (I could find) on my Mahindra 4110. My understanding is that they follow a "high volume, low margin" model (they actually sold 3 more Mahindras during the 4 hours I was there picking/loading up my tractor!)

I'm not saying that these guys have the best prices around for Kioti's, but just wanted to say that while I agree that you should follow the "buyer beware" motto, I believe that these guys were not the "fly by night" type.

Alot of Tractor and Implement places start out like that. First farmers then they see a need and go from there. Chances are he's just a normal Joe who has been in your shoes before. The J-D dealer around here was a Used car dealer in the 50's before getting into tractors hmmmmm makes ya wonder don't it. Go check it out he may be a good guy that is really into it you just don't know. Go with your gut, but check him out first.

Could be, but it's hard to tell. From the other scuttlebut 'round TBN it appears that Kioti (the company) has been trying to "weed out" the "fly by nighters." I don't know how effective they've been to date, but it seems like a good thing to me. Regarding determining if this dealer is a "fly by nighter" or not, I'd look at a few things.

1) How long has this dealer been in business? (1 yr, 5, 10, etc.)
2) What is the size of his maintenance facility (e.g. does he have a good mechanic's workshop, high supply of parts, etc.)
3) How long has he carried Kioti (~ 17 yrs is the max)
4) How many tractors does he have (e.g. more tractors = more inventory = more investment)
5) What other brands does he carry?
6) How long has he carried the 'other' brands.
7) Does he sell "other stuff" - e.g. used cars, boats, etc.

Of course, just because the fellow hasn't carried Kioti that long or doesn't have a lot of stuff on the lot, it doesn't necessarily follow that he will be "gone tomorrow." Same thing for being on the web - maybe he is an "old timer" or doesn't feel he needs the extra advertisement.

It's definitely "buyer beware", but by answering these questions (and others you might have thought up), it may point you either toward or away from this fellow.

Oh, OK - no problemo!

I didnt' mean to sound too defensive or anything, just to say that those prices I posted were from a dealer who I don't think was trying to conduct any subterfuge.

I agree that Golfgar should definately follow the motto of "Kaviet Emptor"!! /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif
