Tractor
looking to buy
Down to these 2 choices. Any experience with the kioti Nx 4510 would be appreciated. Have talked to a few dealers for both tractors I like. General experience with kioti are welcomed also, thanks.

I bought my NX5010 in 2016 after basically being in the same situation as yourself. The dealer I bought from had both LS and Kioti and I could look at both literally side by side. I believe that both tractors are very well made and no matter what you decide you will be happy with either. Here are the few factors that swayed my decision towards Kioti.
1) The Kioti appeared to me to have more stout axle castings and (in the year 2016) the Kioti weighed 300 pounds more than the LS (when looking at comparable models). In my mind more weight is always better, especially when its in the meat of the tractor and not just ballast.
2) The Kioti front end loader has a digging depth of 8.5 inches as compared to the LS loader digging depth of 4.3 inches. This was important to me because I use the loader to dig burning pits and level ground and when I begin to dig on uneven ground the deeper the loader can reach below the surface makes it easier to get my work done (at least for me).
3) 3 point lift capacity of Kioti is 3177 lbs vs. LS 2755 lbs.
4) The width of the Kioti is 65.6 inches vs. the LS at 62.5 inches. Width to me equates to stability.

I have owned an NX4510 since last October. It is a 2016 that was new on the lot. Got a great deal. 38K (Canadian) with full warranty. Previously owned a Kubota B7800 for 15 years and 2000 hours. Wanted a cab and bigger tractor for moving dirt and snow. So far have 150 hours on tractor, and overall am pretty happy. The electronic HST took a bit to get used to (short delay) as the Kubota pedals were linked directly to transmission. I really wanted to get the 2 pedal system for the HST. The loader lift capacity was a big factor in going with KIOTI. After doing lots of research, was afraid of the Tier 4 systems on the new tractors. Heard quite a few stories that I did not like. So far, the regen process on the NX has been almost transparent. Maybe just a slight drop in hp. Only once did I have to stop and let it regen for about 20 minutes, because I wasn't letting the system do it automatically due to short little 'trips'. If I could do it again I think I would spend the extra 3k and got the NX5010. The 4510 is a big tractor and at times wish it had just a little more power. Having said that, if I bought the 5010, I would probably say the same thing:laughing: Can't say anything about the LS. No dealers in the area, so did not do any research. Good Luck!!

Kioti Dave and I are pretty much on the same experience page, with same tractors and all. Other than some issues that required work by the dealer, my NX had done well (now around 415 hours). But, and this does cause me to hesitate a bit, some of the things that had to be dealt with are a bit troubling. I had to have the rear axle housing replaced because after the dealer resealed them they leaked (less than one year- thank goodness this came in under the warranty); obvious problem here is of poor castings. And I had one of my cab doors replaced because it became really tough to close: I did all sorts of adjusting and testing and couldn't find any way to cure- dealer said they could get it to work via adjustment but just decided to replace it (huh? I made it clear that I wasn't asking for a new door- this added to my sense that I don't have a lot of trust in my dealer to be square with me). Other things have been annoying, and had I foreseen them I might have thought about shelling out more for a Kubota (my B7800 has been stellar); but, any new thing can have issues, and as time goes by I'm thinking that I'm past all the early quirks.

I had an LS prior so started my search there since I had no complaints with my LS. Seemed like a good machine & my only issue was the loader lift height. Seems to be typical of LS in general, their loaders are strong, but don't go very high. If that's not an issue for you, the NX bells & whistles are a big separator. If you don't care about any of that extra "gadgetry" on the NX, why pay for it?

Both tractors are about the same price

At the same price I would go with the Kioti...Wider an heavier.

Also consider what each dealer includes when saying they are "same price". Delivery, filling rear tires, first service, attachments at cost/discount, etc. All that has value too.

I don't think the Kioti is heavier unless the loaders are a lot different - but those 2 weigh close enough to call them "same". The LS has +2 PTO HP & 2 remotes. Kioti has larger fuel tank & better hyd flow. Lift capacities close enough to call same but the Kioti loader will lift it higher, faster, & smoother [maybe/subjective]. Going from memory & it's been a while but NX seat is better, easier to get on/off right side on Kioti (open station) but could on both. LS front tires about 10% larger diameter - don't know how that translates to ride smoothness on rough terrain but probably doesn't hurt.

In all, I would (and did) chose the NX between those 2.

Reality is they are very, very similar outside of the NX additional features like linked pedal.
