Are the loader arms on a CK3510HST strong enough to remove hardpack(snow/ice) without damaging them? There is a attachment made by Bobcat I think for removing hardback. Basically it has a round disc mounted on a arm that is used to get up under the hardpack and pop it loose. Thanks

What I do is wrap a chain around my rear blade, then just lower it onto the hardpack and drag it forward. After the snow/ice is scraped a couple of times just shove it out of the way with the loader.

Had a neighbour that drove over the windrow the plow left at the end of his driveway most of the winter. Finally around the end of January he asked me if I could whittle it down for him. I used the chain on the BB and took it right down to the dirt.

It is usually cold enough here that if you can get up under the hard pack it will pop up in big chunks. That is if you don’t wait until break-up has started, then it gets harder to remove.
