Kioti Lawsuit

Was talking to a Kubota dealer and he made a point the Kioti was in big trouble because of a lawsuit. What's up?

Probably a mixture of sour grapes and wishful thinking.

I believe Kubota is suing Kioti over their use of "Kubota Orange" and other alleged infringments. Bet the Kioti dealers don't think they are in big trouble. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Ya the law suit is over the use of the color. but Kubota just now decides to sue over it. Kioti has been in the US for quite a while with the same color as Kubota and Kubota hasn't said a thing.. i think Kubota realizes the competition that Kioti is giving them. I don't think Kubota has a leg to stand on. I am a dealer for Kioti and we aren't worried about it at all.

According to what I've read, attempts to settle out of court were unsuccessful, so I'd be inclined to think that Kubota must have said a thing or two before filing the lawsuit. But of course, I don't know enough about the lawsuit to have any opinion either way as to the merits of the case.

AC's Prussian Orange is a slightly different shade of orange than Kubota's Orange II. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
