Just wondering about the boom and swing function of the joy stick when pushed all the way out. The manual states: "Push the left hand outer control lever, boom moves down, and pull back lever, boom moves up. ALSO, pushing the lever fully forward into the detent position, allows the boom to float. In the float position, the boom can drift up or down without pressure".
Has anyone used this function and if so, what is the application? Bob

The only reason I ever use it on FEL is back dragging something soft like tilled soil or sand. Otherwise I need the down pressure. Not sure why you'd want a BH bucket floating though, but would be same behavior as your FEL in float. I never used when I had a construction BH or rental. I've tamped down dirt with the BH, but never wanted to drive with BH bucket on ground smoothing a 2' strip.
