First post. Hi, I'm in BC, Canada (Okanagan area).
I goofed and had the remote lever for the backhoe hydraulics in the wrong position when I reconnected the backhoe. It spewed fluid and continues to do so if I connect again. The general consensus is that this is a bad thing.
A little investigation shows a major leak at the spool cover on the starboard end of the valve block, and possibly another close to it but it's impossible to tell without much more digging, which is probably pointless since the fix is probably the same regardless.
I contacted my local dealer (twice), but they have not been very helpful, saying that they can't get parts from Korea and to call back at some future unspecified date. I expect the o-rings and other wear parts are going to be foolishly expensive if I buy from them anyway.
So, I am asking for help with:
1. A list of parts required to rebuild the valve block (I believe that should be o-rings and probably plastic backers, but may also include "while you're in there" bits as well.
2. A parts diagram, and maybe even a service manual (assuming it shows the procedure to rebuild the block)
3. A good supplier, ideally in Canada, for the necessary parts without getting whacked by dealer markups
4. Good advice because this is my first go at hydraulics (I have restored a few cars and a couple motorcycles though, so I am pretty good mechanically and take direction well).
