I went and looked at a kioti dk90 the other week and was very impressed by it, was wondering if anyone had one and how they like it. I was also told they were hard to get parts for it by a john deere service tech, have owners found this to be true or is it the guy misinformed.

I would say that parts would be very hard to get for any Kioti from a John Deere service tech or any John Deere dealership for that matter. I would say though if you went to a Kioti dealership I would bet that parts would be a lot easier to come by.:) Ok, OK, seriously now, why would parts for a Kioti be hard to get? I cannot think of any reason.. The only part I have asked for from my Kioti dealer, The upper radiator hose, he sent it to me in the mail and I had it in 2 days. The term is called FUD. It stands for Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt. FUD. Marketing is like a competition or "war" If you can stir up FUD in the buyer, which this man has done with you, he has gone a long way from preventing you from buying a Kioti tractor. Ask yourself this, how would this man know what the parts availability would be for Kioti tractor? What possible insight could he have into this matter?

I figured that there was no problem with it but the service tech is a good friend of mine and just wanted to make sure, I'd rather find out now and not after I'd spent the money on it.
Thanks

If he can get you a deal on a good used JD, for less money, you might be better off using his experience to get a deal over any new tractor. I can't say I've ordered a part yet from kioti so I don't know how fast their distribution system is, but i will never need 1 or 2 day delivery anyways.

I ordered a manual two weeks ago. The service manager asked if he could wait to order the book when they had another order to make, to save some shipping costs. I agreed and it arrived yesterday. So I dont find that timeframe too bad, considering it wasnt a priority order for the dealer. I would think it would depend on which parts were ordered.

I was told by a kioti rep that Kioti has over a 95% fill rate on there parts orders.

What would you expect a JD employee to say? Most parts can be gotten within a week to 10 days if placed on the weekly dealer stock order. If needed sooner then it can be shipped right out as a daily order. Depending on what you want to pay for shipping, depends on how quick you would get. Normal shipping methods could take 3-5 days depending on customer loaction.

As far as parts availability, pretty decent, where they have backorders is on some of the older stuff mostly.
They have to get their parts from over the pond so sometimes that could delay things if not in stock in NC.

By means of comparison to deere, I think "parts are hard to come by" can be said of almost any company. There are gobs of Deere parts stocked in many autoparts stores.
