kioti# is T4620-38032

Ok, I found the problem. I changed the filter and had to fill with oil again. This is when I noticed that the underside of the tractor was full of oil. The large metal line (about 1" in diameter) that goes from the filter to the pump is leaking. Just behind the frame rail there is a short piece of rubber hose that connects the front and rear line together, and that hose is leaking. Im going to have to take off the entire piece of metal line/tubing to get to the rubber hose, because of where the hose clamps are located, you cant get to them without removing the whole line.

Any suggestions?? This looks complicated.

Do you know if this line has a high pressure in it or will standard low pressure rubber hose work??

Thanks Ron

Sounds like the suction line.
If it has hose clamps its low pressure

I inherited a dk45 and been working on getting the maintenance caught up on it. My question is looking under the tractor there is 2 drain points. One looks to be for the 3 point hitch the other looks to be transmission. This is a gear tractor. Do i need to drain both plugs or just one to change the hydraulic fluid?

Both and don't use cheap TSC hydraulic fluid either. Buy and install fluid that meets or exceeds the Kioti specs listed in your owners manual. If in doubt or no owners manual, contact a local dealer and ask them.

I got kioti fluid and know it takes almost 9 gallons. Just wasnt sure about the drain plugs. Also im guessing you just fill from the 3 point hitch area

Should be a fill port on the top side rear of the transmission / rear axle housing to fill it. 9 gallons isn't much. Both my Kubota's require a 15 gallon fill, 16 with a new set of filters. Why I buy my hydraulic oil in 55 gallon drums at change time. Couple advantages, one it's less expensive in bulk and 2, the empty drum gets the used oil which my jobber picks up.

What I used when I drain my tractors is, I took a salvaged big truck diesel fuel tank and cut it down to fit under the tractors. That will hold way more fluid than any store bought drain pan will. In fact, 15 gallons about half fills it and I welded on handles so I can handle the full container to dump it back into the empty drum. The excess unused fluid gets put in gallon plastic jugs, labelled as to contents and used as 'make up fluid' when required. Because I change out hudraulically powered implements all the time, every time I cnage out an implement, my hydrauilc disconnects on the back of the tractors pees a bit of oil so I need to top up the fluid regularly.

The gallon jugs are much easier to pour into the tractors that a large quantity of fluid when I cange them every 2 years.
