Just inquiring if any Kioti dealers would like to share any news after the dealer conference last week on any new 2006 lineup changes? Possibly Dk35 styling changes? The new warranty changes are awesome by the way...
I'm not sure anyone is back from the meeting yet. As a non attending dealer, I don't know a thing, but did sell 3 tractors this week so in a way I'm glad I didn't go!
We just got back from the meeting. A 90hp tractor is on the horizon. They are testing it right now and we should see it this summer??? New 35 and 40hp hydro tractor are next on the list after the 90hp. We saw some pictures of the proto-type. They look like bigger versions of the CK series. they are also working on a basic (strip down) 45 hp tractor that is gear drive (without live PTO - many boos). All this plus the 4 yr warranty on all tractors. Great meeting.
I'd second that..... They've got the "loaded up" models that some folks just don't wanna pay for... some folks just want good quality tractor but not all the bells and whistles, so they can save their nickels and dimes....
Probably reflects the life cycle or maturation of an upstart tractor company as it succeeds in the market place. First you grab a toe hold by offering more than the other guys for the same buck. Then as your reputation increases you raise your prices to make a profit. Next you have to compete with other upstarts on price so you offer stripped versions. I doubt JD would offer the 790 or Kubota the non Grand L series if there were no competition from below. In Kioti's case I don't know if they are feeling pressure from below or that they still need to maintain a clear price advantage over JD and the other orange tractor company.
