Kioti CK 3510 HST
Hey everyone, It's great to find a resource like this forum. I manage a small farm with 12 acres of pasture and another 12 of forest, and am in the market for my first tractor. There is a Kioti dealer 10 minutes down the road.

I'm on the fence between the Kioti CS2410 subcompact tractor and the Kioti CK2510 compact tractor. Each comes with a bucket loader and 4' pull behind rotary mower. Both are 2017 with no hours on them and 7 years of warranty out the door.

The CS2410 comes to $14,400 if financed, and that includes insurance/tax on the sale.
The CK2510 comes to $18,720 if financed, and that also includes insurance/tax on the sale.
do these prices seem ok?

The main difference is the hydro flow and the general weight of the tractors. Also the CK is more comfortable sitting on/adjusting the seat and in general feels better to drive. Feels a bit more like a tractor, but the hp and everything else seems pretty similar. I've found lots of reviews on the CS, but not as many on the CK, so if any owners are out there I'd love to hear from you. I'm also open to other Kioti models but its hard to justify upgrading above compact size because I don't want too much weight tearing up my livestock pastures and I need to maneuver relatively tight spaces around my fence, housing, and forest areas.

My needs are...
-Bush hogging/mowing 12 acres of hilly pasture and around border.
-Clearing under story growth from forested pasture
-Scraping and maintaining gravel driveway
-Moving dirt, gravel, rocks
-Digging holes (ponds, underground irrigation tanks, etc)
-Not too much weight on pastures (the CK is 2260 lb, the CS is 1485 lb)

*There is a Kubota dealer an hour away so I'm open to suggestions there, but really like the idea of having a dealer 10 minutes away for my machine.

Thanks!

The large one would suit your needs much better for what you describe.

In my opinion, Mowing 12 acres of pasture with a 4' cutter is going to get old for you, before the "new" wears off the tractor.... I agree with Billrog, the larger of the two that you listed would be better suited to your needs. And I would probably look at something larger still.

Thanks for the replies. I do have some narrow areas I'd like to fit the tractor and rotary mower, and I'm worried about weight on the pasture doing damage to my grazing. If I were to upgrade the size I'm not sure the best for my needs.

Get the CK but with a 5' mower. I have the size CK under it and the 5' works very well. It will make a huge difference in your mowing times. The weight of the tractor on the pasture won't hurt it unless you drive all over it every day. If we have to drive over pasture or a hayfield we try to stay in the same tracks. One thing I have found out comparing different tractor sizes while mowing fields is that the tire diameter makes a HUGE difference in the ride over rough ground. On my CK20 bumps and ditches that will nearly throw you off are barely felt on the much larger Ford 4600 we use.

The one time I've had to have my Kioti picked up and carried to the dealer for a repair the truck driver was griping about having to pick up so many of the subcompacts. Said people used them in a way they were not designed for and breaking them. Take that with a grain of salt because it is hearsay and I have never even sat on one. But he was pretty disgusted with them. The CKs are heavy duty little beasts that will work hard.

The CK will fit your needs much better than the CS.

Hello stcroix, in general you don't need to worry about pasture damage from the tractor, unless you as trying to brushhog swamp.
If you get a contractor in to brushhog they will have a larger tractor any way, and won't do the kind of damage you are worried about.

I have a CK 4010 and love it, wish I had more HP now but who doesn't LOL. I would go with the CK. From a price perspective I paid around 20K for my 4010 with taxes a year ago so that seems a little on the high side, after researching the Kioto forum I thought I paid way too much. I bought a Bad Boy bush hog for $1200 that is a heavy duty cutter. It is awesome

I got a price of $15500 for the ck2610 hst with loader, it could do a 5 foot cutter.
