Hey everyone, It's great to find a resource like this forum. I manage a small farm with 12 acres of pasture and another 12 of forest, and am in the market for my first tractor. There is a Kioti dealer 10 minutes down the road.
I'm on the fence between the Kioti CS2410 subcompact tractor and the Kioti CK2510 compact tractor. Each comes with a bucket loader and 4' pull behind rotary mower. Both are 2017 with no hours on them and 7 years of warranty out the door.
The CS2410 comes to $14,400 if financed, and that includes insurance/tax on the sale.
The CK2510 comes to $18,720 if financed, and that also includes insurance/tax on the sale.
do these prices seem ok?
The main difference is the hydro flow and the general weight of the tractors. Also the CK is more comfortable sitting on/adjusting the seat and in general feels better to drive. Feels a bit more like a tractor, but the hp and everything else seems pretty similar. I've found lots of reviews on the CS, but not as many on the CK, so if any owners are out there I'd love to hear from you. I'm also open to other Kioti models but its hard to justify upgrading above compact size because I don't want too much weight tearing up my livestock pastures and I need to maneuver relatively tight spaces around my fence, housing, and forest areas.
My needs are...
-Bush hogging/mowing 12 acres of hilly pasture and around border.
-Clearing under story growth from forested pasture
-Scraping and maintaining gravel driveway
-Moving dirt, gravel, rocks
-Digging holes (ponds, underground irrigation tanks, etc)
-Not too much weight on pastures (the CK is 2260 lb, the CS is 1485 lb)
*There is a Kubota dealer an hour away so I'm open to suggestions there, but really like the idea of having a dealer 10 minutes away for my machine.
Thanks!
