Kioti CK3510HST

/ Kioti CK3510HST #21
I've been looking for a comparable machine for a while myself and have had good discussions with the Kioti dealer in Juneau. They have a CK3510HST with FEL and BL listed on Craigslist for $30K. I figure transport to my place near Anchorage would be about $2K. I've also looked at the LS tractors and test drove the 35 hp model at the dealer in Wasilla. Solid equipment but the dealer is a pretty small operation, don't know what the support for repairs, etc would be like. I've also been weighing the costs vs benefits of hauling up from lower 48, biggest downside would be the time required.

Just for other folks background, freight for a tractor to Alaska is going to be run somewhere between $3K and $5K depending on mode and distance. A JD 3033R with FEL and cab was quoted at $39K. I don't feel like my needs are such that the green paint premium is worth it to me. I wouldn't mind a JD 110 TLB though. There are plenty on the used market and one could be hauled up for under $5K. I'm comfortable enough wrenching on things but being a neophyte with equipment I don't have much confidence that I wouldn't buy a lemon.

ChugiakTinkerer,

Toteum Equipment in Anchorage also sells Kioti tractors. I also have been talking to Juneau about that same tractor. My co-worker bought a JD 110 TLB and had it shipped up to Fairbanks ($8,800).

Thanks for that info. I've been basing my estimate on some quotes I got for shipping a tracked skid steer. The transport length of the 110 is 20' or so, about twice that of a small skid steer. I'll adjust my estimates accordingly.

Newbie here, with recent prices from a dealer I just bought a CX2610H for $17k.

CK4010H = $20k

KX5010H = $25k

These are not negotiated prices, they are what they advertise in their paper ads and often found on their ads on major tractor sale web sites as well.

Forgot to mention, the LS dealer in Wasilla has a XR3135H with loader that he has an aggressive price on. It was $25k last we talked. Open cab, and I think he installs block heater. Might give him a call. Dave's Tractor in Wasilla.

[Edit to add] Not trying to sell you on LS, but thought I should also mention that he installs a mechanical thumb on every backhoe he sells.

I talked to the guy at Dave's Tractor also about the LS. By the time you add a backhoe to that LS it is several thousand dollars more then the Kioti CK3510HST and I'm not sure you would get anything better from what I have read. He was a nice guy to talk to but seems like he just has a small business and as we both know (at least here in Fairbanks) compact tractor are not real popular. There are more skid steers then anything I think. Thanks for the info anyway, also did you by any chance talk to Toteum Equipment about a Kioti?

I went back and checked my emails and realized I got some quotes from Jake at Totem. That was about when I started looking at track skid steers, and I went chasing my tail in another direction.

In a couple weeks I should be in a place financially where I can just make a decision. I'm overanalyzing this. My spreadsheet is embarrassing...

I totally understand!!! My only issue is only JD and Kubato dealers are here in Fairbanks and they are crazy expensive. Plus they don't really care about the small guys. I will have to trailer mine to Anchorage for any warranty work.

Any Kioti quotes from Jake @ Toteum?

I was interested in the CK2610 at the time. Here's a quote from the email I got at the end of November. I never asked about the CK3510.

The Kioti 2610HST costs $16,195. The loader attachment is $4,200. Cab is $6,000.00. backhoe attachment is $8,100.00. Shipping on the entire order would be about $2,500.00. I also have a CK27 in my rental fleet with 550 hours on it. It has the loader and the backhoe. I would sell that for $24,500.00. it doesn’t have the cab. Let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you,

Jake Huston

He quoted me $34,500 for a used CK3510HST he had in his rental fleet. If I remember right it had 400 - 500 hours on it also. It had FEL and Backhoe but I'm not sure why he is asking more then what you can buy one new from Juneau. He has to know what Juneau is selling them for since they are the only two dealers up here.

One of the incredible things about Tractor House is the ability to See auction results. It's eye opening comparing those prices to the asking price. Not all models have auctions, but enough do to see what's up. It makes me a little cynical what some folks start out at.

Very well said!! I really like supporting Alaska Businesses but they get really crazy a lot of the time. I understand the extra shipping cost but they don't need to try and recoop all that shipping cost on every item. I want even get started on the customer service part(at least for Fairbanks).
