Hello from Parma Michigan. Anyone else had issues with hydraulic fluid getting by seals and into the crankcase oil? I've got less than 15 hrs on my 2015 Tier III
unit and this is the second time it's done it. The dealer presumed it was getting by the seals at the hydraulic pump (at only 6 hrs) and changed out the whole pump assembly. After 8 hrs of medium work, brushhogging weeds and some FEL work, the oil level in the crankcase is 4 inches above full, and the hydraulic fluid is on the add mark again. Where else could the hydraulic pressure push fluid into the crankcase?

Are you sure it's hydro fluid? The pump is the only hydraulic thing near there. The FWD is just a shaft, and power steering is just a line underneath. Take it back to the dealer, it's still under warranty. His problem.

Did you ever figure out the problem?

Tier 3 2015? No such thing.... Tier 4 or interim Tier 4. Anyway, what's the status on your CK-30 engine/HST trans?

Weird, Without verifying with the service manual I think the trans/HST and engine are two separate systems not sharing a dividing seal.

Is there a breather vent from the engine heading off to the breather vent used by the transmission? In other words, do these two systems share a breather vent?

Yes Eric the HST and engine are separated by the flywheel and clutch. After looking at the shop manual I see that the hydro gear pump is bolted to the back side of the injection pump. I would guess that if the hydro pump seal blew then the pressure would definitely force hydro fluid past the seal on the engine side.
Like you said, weird. I have not read about this happening before.
