Kioti CK27 Shuttle Shifter Stuck in Reverse

2009 CK27 Kioti. Manual trans. 550 hours. Shuttle lever will not move out of the reverse position. Worked fine a few weeks ago. Been parked since. Today, the shuttle shift lever would not come out of the reverse position. I had to manually rotate the lower rod of the shuttle shift linkage, with vice grips, to get the trans in the forward position. Even after that, the lever itself will NOT move out of the reverse position. Sprayed WD40 on all the linkage I could get to. Any ideas how to fix this ? Googled it & came up empty.

Well if you can manual shift the lower rod with vice grips it sounds like you ruled out a transmission issue.
Sounds like a shuttle linkage issue. Take some panels off covering the shuttle linkage so you can see what's going on.

Have no idea how to uncover that linkage. But, I reckin I can try to figure it out.

I suppose I was hoping for someone who had just this issue, who could tell me exactly what to do. Suppose I'll have to experiment, investigate, diagnose, then fix whatever is wrong.

When(if) I can fix, I'll post what I did, so that it may help somebody else, in the future.

If I can't fix, I'll just shift with vice grips. I'm retired. So, speed is NOT a requirement, when I use the tractor.

Did you resolve this issue.
My ck27 2010 with 490 hours
Started a few months back sticks in reverse after a bit shifts fine for a few weeks.
Looked at in this evening there is a ujoint between dash and floor. My thoughts are it’s jamming there. ??
