Kioti ck2610 vs Kubota 2501

If you are buying to resell you are making a mistake. This is not a car to be used for a couple of years and trade in on a new model.

That said - you cannot find used kiotis for sale. People keep them. But when you do yes they may be slightly less than a kubota but you need to consider PERCENTAGE of original price. If a comparably equipped new kubota is 25k vs 22k for a new kioti then when both are older and the kubota sells for 15k would you expect the kioti to sell for 15k? No it should sell for 13.2k. But because that is less than the kubota people think they do not hold their value as well. Smh

Kubota better look at what happened to the big 3 in the 70s. No this isn’t cars but if you continue to say “we have the market on quality” while being overtaken in quality, performance, and price one day you will wake up and say “where has the market gone?”

You guys buy your trucks based mostly on maker's 'track record of reliability'* or its 'possible resale value'** ??? Low priorities for me when buying a vehicle, makes sense when considering a stock purchase though. :scratchchin:

Buy the tractor to USE it and to take care of it. Pinch pennies when you cook out, get drunk, or buy camo mud flaps & seat covers for your Dodge Ram. (see *,**)

For you 'hobby investors', resale value is one thing but over the long term one should consider cost of any parts bought during ownership for net ROI.

"If you're gonna spend the money you might as well get what you want." Robert J Gasper

btw, you Kioti owners .. :drink:

Well like i said i ended up going with the Kioti. I considered resale . In my area even the subpar brands keep value. I own and still own a 40 yr old Kubota and it has been great. That being said i felt the Kioti ck2610 was the better tractor even with the competitive area i live in the kubota was the same price. I did notice that i bought the last 2610 the dealer will see until August and the kubota dealer is sitting on a dozen 2501. Kioti is very strong in my area and has almost emptied his lot.. i only have around 5 hours so far but extremely impressed 20200704_143248.jpg

I don’t get the argument that you should not consider resale. Things happen, circumstances change, you can easily find yourself needing a different tractor or no tractor at all in a few years no matter how certain you are that you are buying the right tractor at the time. If two or more potential tractors all meet your needs, resale seems like a perfectly reasonable way to break the tie.

With that considered, and all I have seen with the used market. I am still happy that I purchased a Kioti this time around! It was the best tractor out of everything I looked at and if I must sell it, selling it for the exact amount less it was than the comparable kubota isn’t a loosing proposition.

Funny it seems I didn’t make a profit when I sold any of my kubota’s years ago.

I'd like to see that myself.
He repletely claims Kubota holds 50% and John Deere holds 30% and the rest fight for the rest.(maybe that's true, I don't know).
But don't continue saying it if you can't supply the data to back up your claim.

Jeff is correct, and it's well known in the industry, not something people need to keep questioning every darn time. But there are several threads here on TBN if you want to search. As I understand it, Kubota put out a PR when they crossed 50% many years ago and they have only gotten bigger since then. It's based on a tractor manufacturers association here in the USA that tracks numbers.

If its so well known Kubota has 50% and Deere has 30% then it should be easy to post the data.
But we are to take Jeff and your word for it without question were you got it ??? Post your data.

Scratching my head what is well known in the industry? From my short research John Deere is leading the pack in sales, maybe I am wrong.Kubota might rig the numbers ya think?? Can someone show me better numbers to make me a believer?I own Deere, kubota and kioti products so no dog in this hunt just love to see the numbers.

50% of sales (US not global) says as much about a particular model of tractor being considered as color does. :D

And I finally get that more orange tractors out there means they are the best, and others are green or just bad investments.

Never mind size or hp (LUT, CUT, SCUT) we're going with the importance of sales numbers, are we?

Not that anyone's car matters, but if more Mustangs are sold than Camaros, then nobody should buy a Corvette.

btw, don't forget to order with MMM, cab, backhoe and <25hp or some guy down the road will have what you don't.

I’m just coming in to this post but would like to clarify a few things. Yes Kubota has a large market share, but m.s.’s are determined by different hp classes. Kubota and Deere are pretty close in that under 25 hp range which comprises the subs, BX’s and 1000 series Deere. After that Deere drops in share. I don’t know actual #’s as I haven’t heard/ seen lately. Yes, Kub. Is over 50% overall.
Kioti has @a 10-12 % overall market share in all models.
JD is not leading the share, Kubota is. Also, Kubota cannot skew the #’s.
The market share and sales #’s are based on what the dealers register.
Aarontriton, I am glad you bought the Kioti, good choice, definitely a nicer tractor and more bang for your buck. You get more wt., more lift cap. and more overall hyd. cap on the Kioti.
