kioti CK2510
I have a chance to buy a woods backhoe from a CASE tractor that comes with a subframe. Given that the CASE tractor looked smaller than mine I assume the subframe wouldn't fit. I emailed the woods equipment folks that said subframes aren't universal even if the tractors are around the same size. He also told me that woods backhoe wouldn't fit my kioti, like at all, even if I had a subframe for it?

another local guy told me you would most likely have to mess around with the subframe to get it working, and even there it might stress on some parts of the tractor since it isn't subframe for kioti.

I am pretty sure I saw online people talking about having or getting a woods backhoe on a kioti. I think it was even on this site...?

Any kioti owners, or woods or anyone really who has experience here. Am I wasting my time running after a woods backhoe to fit on my kioti? for $5G CAD I sure would love to buy it!!

Any advice is appriciated.

I live in Ottawa, Canada

It is possible Woods does not make or carry a specific subframe for that backhoe on your Kioti model. You could consider renting a backhoe if you don't need one often. You could also consider selling your Kioti and purchasing a tractor which includes a backhoe. If you go that route be sure to get the three point stuff as well.

What size is the backhoe? Reading your post it seems like it might be too big or small for your tractor. Woods isn't very forthcoming with information, preferring that you go through your local dealer. I also find it harder and harder to use search engines, because all they seem to give me is dealers and equipment trader.com.

You need the Kioti backhoe KB2465 made for your tractor. Its very similar to that Woods backhoe, but comes with the custom subframe for your CK2510 tractor. Its made in Korea by Dedong and is of extremely high quality. And brand new, they probably cost only $1200 to $1500 more than the used Woods backhoe your considering. Also, the entire subframe install by the Kioti dealer, is included free with any backhoe purchase.

Or just buy the Kioti subframe and mount the Woods backhoe to it. (assuming its the correct size backhoe for the machine)

The woods backhow was woods woods BH6000-1. It is a small backhoe and would have really done the job. My next step will be to contact my local dealers and see what the prices are. ITs encouraging rademamj1 said getting a Kioti backhoe KB2465 is 1500 more than the woods backhoe. However it seems hard to believe because I think I looked into it a while back and it was like 10G to get one for my tractor.

I wlll call around and find out. If I'm lucky I'll find something for next summer. I sure apprciaite the replies.

DO NOT GET A WOODS BACKHOE FOR YOUR TRACTOR!!

About a year ago, I found a gently used Woods BH90-X for cheap. I jumped at it. It had a sub-frame mount for a Kubota something. I figured I could either get an LS subframe mount (My tractor being an LS) or see if Woods makes a subframe mount for LS. I was dead wrong on both counts. There is NOTHING universal about subframe mounts for backhoes. LS has mounts that hook up to my tractor, but wont hook up to a Woods BH. Woods has mounts for TONS of tractors, except for LS.
After speaking with Woods and my Dealer, trying to figure out what to do (after all, I have a very expensive piece of machinery sitting in my driveway I cannot use, let alone move.) I was more confused and frustrated that ever. I called a local machine shop, to see if they can make one. The quoted me, without taking any measurements, $4000 as a rough estimation.

I ended up figuring out that Woods makes a subframe mounts for my backhoe, for a tractor/FEL that is close to my tractor/FEL. Woods uses the FEL brackets. That tractor is the New Holland Boomer 45. Exact same tractor as my LS XR4145C, but the New Holland has a different FEL. I was told that I will void the warranty on the mount if I modify it. I didnt care. It cost about $2000 and I spent a few hundred more on steel to make some modifications myself, to get it to work with my FEL. It lowed my ground clearance too. But, I can use my Woods BH with my LS tractor.

I thought I had a thread on this somewhere, but couldnt find it. I do have a video of it, see signature line.

Bottom line is, if you seriously want this Woods backhoe, and Woods does not make a mount for your tractor, plan to have someone make you a subframe mount. My mount bolts to the TOP of my rear axle and wraps around it to the front where it attaches to the bottom of the FEL mounts upfront.

Hope this info helps.

I had a CK30 with the Kioti backhoe... do yourself a favor and put that $5k in its own checking account. Rent a mini whenever you need it, and in 10yrs I bet you still have some of that $5k left. If not you needed a much bigger machine than a mini, and a mini is way more capable than a tractor mounted backhoe.

When I bought my Kioti, the salesman basically told me the same thing. When I traded in the tractor this year I realized how UNfrequently I used it, and the main reason was on how UNcapable it was compared to machines Im used to using. I bought a much larger JD, a 4066R, and the backhoe for it didnt even cross my mind.

Different uses I guess. My backhoe is the second most common thing on my tractor, first is the logging winch. Besides, for me to rent something means paying somebody for a 45-60 mile trip one way to deliver; then the same again to pick it up.
Between that and the rental, that $5000 would disappear in a couple of uses.

I would like to rent a 20 ton machine though, just to see what it's like to run one.
