I got my first cursory lookover of the Kioti prototype CK20 Hydro at the Ohio Power Show. Quality appears top notch with a nice fit and finish to the paint. Front axle is large in size and appears extra duty. Power steering is handled by dual hydraulic cyndlers on either side of center, on front side of the axle. Front End Loader brackets are thick steel, the FEL bucket has good height and the FEL dettaches easily.

With the hood raised, wide open access for easy servicing. The hood, fenders and operator platform are all steel.

Would like to see a grill/guard protector from Kioti to keep the nice front end lookin' nice.

Tractor controls are conveniently placed and user friendly. The yellow handle(see attachment pic)operates the rear hydraulic outlets, the other, 3 point w/position control. You'll also note the FEL Joystick(black knob)sets just in front of the fender, comfortable location for operators right hand.

The operator platform is easy on/easy off. Steering wheel appears oversized and thick for good comfortable grip. FEL hydraulic hose disconnects are in a good location, high off the ground away from possible contaminants. Hydrostat pedal is the heavy boomerang design, was set slightly close to the rear of operator platform for my taste. Would like to see a deluxe suspension seat offered as an option.

Rear mounted gas tank affords easy fill and maintenance. Has standard 3 Point hook up with stabilizing turnbuckles on the outside of the arms. Also note the rear hydraulic hook ups.

Overall first impressions are very good and I await the production models arrival.

Looks like you got a good look at the CK20H, is it worth waiting for, or should I look at some other CUT. From the pictures that you posted it looks very good. I just wish that it would come close enough that I could go look at the "toys".

Don

Thanks for the pictures and information.
Where is the Ohio Power Show and how long does it last?

lynnmll:

I think it's worth the wait. This is one beefy lookin' tractor. It looks as if Kioti is raising the preverbial bar a notch, maybe even two notches. Now that I've seen them I can understand why they weigh more. I'm patiently awaiting the production models, for the first test drive, so I can scrutinize/evaluate them further.....

If the tractor is half as good as it look, Kioti has a winner.

A lot of the new tractor use pot-metal (alloy) trans/axles
and plastic/fiberglass bodies. Did you notice what the CK 20
was made of????

You took some great picture thanks...

Thanks for all the info and pictures!

Does the new radius arm loader have a model number yet?
Do you have more info on how the loader/bucket detaches?

Kioti has not released the specifications for the loader as of yet. The loader detaches with the two (gold colored) handles on either side of the loader arms and then has two legs that fold out to support the loader arms.

Mathey,

I've attached a picture that shows the "legs" on the loader arms of the CK20.

Anyone have any concerns the hydro transmission may be a potential problem first year?? Is this the first try at this type of transmission or first time in the US only?

Sure looks like a real nice unit.

Thanks

Tom

The only thing to go by IMO is Kioti's recent history of new product rollouts (DK line). They seem to have done their homework before releasing the production models. The CK20 has been in prototype form for over a year. That leads me to believe, their doing what needs to be done, to produce a quality tractor, for the first model of the CK line.
