Hey everybody! I was hoping for some help with my Kioti. I turned it on about an hour ago, drove it 20 feet and then shut it off to fill it with gas. When going to restart it after filling with gas I accidentally pressed the gear to move the tractor forward while starting it up and pressing the clutch, it died, and now it won't turn over. I am turning the key and hitting clutch but it's not doing anything.

I called the place I got it from for some advice and they said it has to be a safety switch or fuse or something. I have no idea where there is any safety switch, and I don't know where the fuses are.

Any advice?

I checked all fuses and they appear to be fine.

I also tried jumping it from my Jeep, and a separate battery jumper, the engine isnt even making sounds when turning the key to try to start it. It must be a switch or something somewhere. Any ideas?

Try "centering" the forward reverse pedals. It may have a switch that prevents it from starting in a "drive" mode.

I did already try centering the pedal, and every other maneuver I could think of and nothing.

When you say "filled it with gas" (twice), you did mean diesel fuel, correct?

Yes, I did fill it with diesel only.

did you bump the low/high range lever? One of the PTO levers?

It's a slim possibility, but I had the same problem with my Bobcat ct122 (same tractor) and it turned out that the positive cable prematurely corroded, causing intermittent connection. Most of the time it started fine, but would randomly not start at all.

I did find a little melting of the plastic on the positive wire leaving the battery from where it melted on the muffler, but all of my diagnostics are telling me that the issue is somewhere else.

Flashers are not coming on, nor is any lights on the panel. Tried removing the battery and jumping direct to the terminals and it didn't work.

Tried jumping with black cable on the frame and no lights/dash.

Tried replacing all fuses, not working.

I have not run the red cable to the starter yet because I don't know where the starter is or what it looks like?

My neighbor came to look and he said he thinks it is a relay or something?

I found the starter, and I hooked the red wire from my jeep battery directly to the starter, and it still didn't give any power or turn over.
