I was interested in a CK20 with backhoe and loader. I just got a price quote of $21,000. I thought it was a competitor for the BX22 TLB. The Kubota is $15,500. I guess that makes my decision for me. Anyone get a better price and if so where?

I couldn't find too much info on it on Kioti's website, but it seems to have similar power to the B7500, 3 pt. lift capacity a bit less than B2910, Ground clearance like a B7500 and it weighs about 200 lbs. more than the B2910.

I didn't see any loader or backhoe specs, but at the very least, this tractor is more than a BX, rivals the B7500 and with the extra weight and large wheels, probably can get more of its power to the ground.

It looks like a formidable competitor to the lower end of the B series, although at the price mentioned it doesn't seem like a real bargain.

Do you know how big the hoe is? Is it a 6', 6 1/2' or 7 1/2'. From the size of the tractor, it might take a 7 1/2' hoe, which is only available on the B7800/B2710/B2910.

It quite possibly is more competition for the B21, for which the price you mentioned would make it quite a bargain.

Anyone know more about it?

The CK20 size wise is more comparable to the B7500 with features that rival the B2410. The CK20 curved arm loader raises 14-15 inches higher than the Kubota loaders. The price for the tractor/loader/backhoe package sounds high to me. I would suggest you shop around. The backhoe is the same backhoe used on the LB1914.

GaryG.....If you could fill out your profile and give a general location you would probably get more specific responses.

I need a small tractor with a loader and backhoe. I went and played on the BX22. It is the right size to fit where I need it. Then I started reading the TBN forums. I got caught up in the CK20 that is coming out. I found a dealer that wanted to sell me one. However I expected because of all the comparisons to the BX22 a similar priced tractor. I know it is about 500 pounds heavier. The loader is higher rated about 600lbs. The backhoe I believe is 7 foot depth. The dimensions fit my needs the extra $5,500 does not fit my wallet. Also the Kioti does not seem to be as respected as the Kubota. I just wondered if I got a good quote. If so I will buy the BX22 and be happy.. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I posted my BIO for all to see! I am in San Diego. The quote I got was from another state.

There are a lot of opinions out there. If you look with an open mind and compare feature for feature, you generally will get more bang for your buck and a quality tractor to boot. From the sheer weight of the CK20, a much more serious loader and a backhoe to match, my thoughts are you would be much more productive. What type of soil will you be digging in?

Go to www.kiotitractor.com many of the dealer websites are listed and there's also a dealer locator. Some of the dealers list prices. I think you can do better.

Our property is mostly decomposed granite. Very hard in some places. The added weight of the CK20 was one of the attractions. I don't have a dealer close by so I just checked with several in surrounding states. That is where I got the $21,000 figure.

I like the looks of the CK20 too. But I needed a bigger machine, so I went to a Deere 4310 (32Hp) - It was priced at just over $21000, with Loader and Backhoe, HST and 4WD.

That price is high for the Kioti, but then, there aren't many to be had, yet. Surely that will be corrected soon.

Just noticed Little Tractor has prices listed on their web page for the CK20 and implements. Bottom line looks like about $14,100 for tractor w/ loader and midmount mower.

For only $900 more I got a 3054 w/FEL, 6' finish mower and 6' grader blade. If the larger size is OK for you I would go for it. More weight, more power /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif, and more lifting capacity in the FEL as well as on the 3pt hitch. James Little was very easy to deal with and I am very happy with my new tractor. We saved over $700 and that even included shipping from IL to OH.

Well I at least went as far as putting a deposit down on a CK20. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif Price was about $17,200 with FEL, backhoe with 16" bucket, industrial tires, no HST though. Based on what I have been seeing on the board, that seemed like a good price. We agreed to an about price because the dealer was not exactly sure of the all the backhoe components. BTW, the backhoe added about $5,000. I have a pretty hilly property so he felt I would be much happier with the manual shift then the HST. Though he could not speak to the CK20's HST yet, his experience with other machines has been that you loose enough power with the HST, at least on smaller machines, that on very hilly terrains you will notice it. I realized after I left that I was so excited about doing the deal that I forgot to ask him if he knew who was making the FEL and backhoe.

The dealer was not sure when they would be in. He had thought this past week but like everyone else he is waiting. He said when he gets it, I can come in and check it out. If I don't like it for any reason he will refund my deposit without any questions.

I do have a question, something else I forgot to ask about. One of the optional pieces of equipment is a single spool remote hydraulic valve. What is it and when would someone need/want one?

One of the reasons I went with the CK was the dealer. They have been around a long time, seemed very honest, very knowledgeable and gave you complete answers to questions. If he did not know something, as he hasn't had his own hands on a CK yet, he said so. I was thinking of a TC21D but that dealer, who also sells the other orange machines, would just give vague general answers to almost anything. I asked them the difference between the Blues and the Oranges and he said it was basically what promotions and credit deals they had going. Other then that nothing. /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif Isn't that interesting I said. No point in taking this any farther, thanks but no thanks. Actually I was /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif, it helped make my decision much easier.

I have heard the Kioti CK20's arrived in port this past week. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif There then shipped to the warehouses, then distributed to the dealers. Shouldn't be much longer...

I still have not bought a tractor. I went to visit my closest Kioti dealer, about 90 miles away. It was not a great experience, they mostly sell big trucks. I think the tractor business is just an add-on. They had two Kioti DK tractors. No one in the place had any idea of the prices. They had not heard of the CK20. The guy that takes care of the tractor sales was on vacation. They did not give me any kind of confidence in the level of service after sale that I might get. I wish someone in San Diego County would grab the franchise. If I am going to have to do all service and warranty work, I want a big discount from the MSRP. I can get a B2410 from an excellent dealer for the price I got quoted here on the West Coast. And I think Oakland is the Port of Entry. It is narrowing my choices. Back East and the Midwest you have a tractor dealer in every town, not so in CA.

I see www.carverequipment.com of Dunn, NC has picked up the Kioti line.

Gary, you might want to call 1-877- GO KIOTI and see if there's anything in the works for a dealer in your area. Carvers now carries both 'Colors of Orange' tractors, so you could call them if you have comparison questions.

Got a 35 in Jan it now has 75 hours. I think you will find that you get a lot of tractor for the buck. For the first time on this forum I will say you should be up in the 45 or 50 range. bcs
