kioti ck 27
I have a 2009 kioti ck 27 that I can not start using the ignition switch . A couple of weeks ago I was cutting grass when I noticed that the tach. and the fuel gauge had stopped working. The tractor was running fine. I shut the tractor down and when I tried to start it again the tractor would not start the oil light and the temp. gauge would work and I would here a click from under the hood, and the starter would not turn. I called the dealer that I bought the tractor from and was told that it was probably the ignition switch or a bad fuse. The tractor will crank and runs fine if I start it by arching across the starter. I checked the fuses nothing wrong there. So I called the dealer again and was told that Kioti had trouble with their switches, so I bought a switch when this didn't work the dealer said it might be a relay. I've found 5 total 3 on the back wall and 2 by the radiator How would I go about testing a relay?

Before you go crazy, check your grounds and hot from the battery up.

What he said; and start at the ground cable from the battery negative post to the frame connection. Make sure it is completely clean, and same with your battery posts, no corrosion, loose connections, etc.
How many hours on machine? Do you have any mice where you store the tractor?
If accessible remove the fuse box screws to allow inspection of the backside where wires feed into the fuse holders.
Report back findings.

I checked the ground cable , fuse box fuse holders, and wires everything was good. no corrosion or mice damage. but while checking under the tractor I found a set of wires that were disconnected I reconnected the wires and now everything works fine A couple of weeks ago I was moving some deer stands and I bogged my tractor in a mud hole I had to use my front end loader to pick the front end up and place a log underneath the front wheels to get out of the hole apparently the wires pulled loose while I was trying to get out and finally lost contact while I was cutting grass. The little plastic lock on the connector was broken so I secured it with a couple of zip ties I've got 112 hrs. on the tractor

Well there you go, thanks for reporting back.. as a side note if you think any water got into any of those connectors, you might consider taking them apart and putting some waterproof anti corrosion grease in them.

Well I'm glad you found the cause. I usually suggest looking underneath for those connectors but am not as familiar with the specific wiring on the CK as on the DK series. For the life of me I cannot understand why they put vulnerable wiring underneath the tractors without providing a skid plate of some kind?!:confused3: Same thing with the loader QD's!:confused2:
2nd the grease in the connectors, you don't want them corroding.
