Does kioti have or plan to have a model competitive to kubota bx2350?

Besides 2 extra engine hp and a couple more at the PTO. It looks like a CK20 would outdue it in all strength/lift capabilities and with more standards. Plus it's not an overgrown lawn tractor...

Very hard to compare the CK20 to the BX2350, it is really a sort of apples and oranges thing. The CK is a much larger tractor and even though it has less horsepower I'm sure it is more capable in ground engaging operations. FEL capacity of the CK20/KL120 is much higher than the Kubota too. However, for mowing lawns the BX2350 with a MMM would run circles around the CK.

Actually I've hear rumors.... but that’s all they are... rumors... well maybe something will materialize out of it. Honestly I think you will see many more “competing” models in the near future.

OK Ed, now who is stirring the pot?

I'm not sure about Kioti, but TYM has been advertising a sub-CUT and there is a rumor that Mahindra is going to bring one to the market.

To my knoweldge, the sub-cut market is currently occupied by Kubota, Deere, New Holland, Case, Massey and Simplicity, with TYM apparently now entering the market? I'm not aware of any others currently offering sub-cuts.

I'd never try to yank Neil's chain. It is an honor to have a Kubota dealer lurking here . After all, I am assuming that he is operating on the well accepted principle of "know thy enemy" and it feels good to know that big bad Kubota is looking over their shoulder at the "other" orange tractor.

Really, all kidding aside. It is great to have civil debate on pros and cons of various tractors with knowledgable folks like Neil. I may disagree with him about some things but I am an unabashed fan of the BX line.

I can take some ribbing ever once and awhile

I've seen the TYM K2, I am not sure I'd call it a sub-cut. Its quite a bit larger. I also would really like to take one out with a load cell sometime. The specs that they claim seen awefuly optimistic for the size of the machine.

The K2 is not a subcut, for sure. Very comparable to a CK20. It actually has the features on one platform that generally distinguish a CK20 from a BX: hp to weight and manueverability of the BX, lift capacity and digging abilities of the CK. If TYM had more dealers, and had them priced a little better, the K2's could be a dominant player.

The thing is that all true Sub-cut's are NOT tunnel frame tractors.
They are a plate steel frame with an engine, trans and transfer case set between the framerails, then the rearend is attached to this power/trans unit.
It is more like a truck than a conventional tractor.
Alot of the CUT's are also this way now.
That is why a 24hp other brand weighs approx 1350lbs
And the 25hp Kioti weighs 3000lbs.
Kioti's are all cast iron tunnel-frame tractors.
This makes the tractors not only heavier but very rigid.
Kioti would have to make a large break from what their normal manufacturing practices do to get into the Sub-cut market.
