5-10-08, Since many posts provide cross to off-brand oil filters for the Kioti filter and I couldn't find the Kioti filter pn in/on TBN search or in my tractor manuals, I thought I would post to the TBN gang the Kioti oil filter P/NO as E6201-32443. The reason I am doing this is because after using a Napa 1182 on my LK-3054XS for 145 hrs., on advice of my dealer, I found that the oil light comes on below 1150 rpm. Quick check with my dealer, and now he says that "we have found 'problems' with the Napa filter and now advise to use the Kioti brand". I had a few shipped and saw that they are about half again the size of the Napa filter. Just to be really sure, I called Wallace Tractor and he confirmed the above filter P/NO and he says it's also used on many of the Kioti tractors. Jez Kioti dealers stop advising to use a cross oil filter, of course if the back-room of your shop is the profit center...!!! I hope there is no damage to my engine because of this bad advice.end ct.

The only time I've every considered using off brand filters was when I was considering purchasing a grey machine. I would never use, other than for my car (fram, etc.) a non-factory filter for my equipment. For the cost, no brainer and with shipping so cheap these days, no reason why not to use factory. Wallace has free shipping when you purchase the complete filter set, that's what I've done.

I think the Kioti oil filter was less than 10 bucks...
I personally don't think it's worth saving a few dollars on something this important..
