Kioti Backhoe Installation Question

Does the subframe stay on the tractor or come off with the backhoe. If it stays on the tractor how much does it take away from the tractors ground clearance? I am interested in a DK55 with loader/backhoe, the tractor has approx 15" ground clearance as listed in specs how much is taken up by backhoe subframe?

It will depend on exactly what type of BH you attach. I'm not sure what is available for the DK55. On the CK20 the subframe stays with the KB2365 BH when you remove it but there are a couple of tabs that remain fixed to the tractor frame and they do lower the ground clearance by a couple of inches just in those spots. On my DK40se I have a Woods BH90x and that is more of a 4 pt mount where the entire subframe stays on the tractor. I cannot recall right now how much the subframe decreases the clearance but it is not much at all.

Bought the Woods B-80 backhoe on a pallet and the subframe, installed all myself, saved a bit of money I do say. Educational. Got to take it SLOW.

The subframe will come off if you use a Kioti. The subframe is 4 inches tall so it will hang down aprox 5 inches from the rear end.
Once you remove the backhoe you will still have the receiver hanging down and that will always be there so right at the back of the rear end in the middle you will have a plate that will hang down aprox 5 inches all the time.
I never had anyone have any problems with ground clearence on a 55.
Are you going to get Ag or Industrial tires?
The Ag are about 3 inches taller than the Industrial tires.
One last thing the specs on the machine are with Ag tires.
