Always used a pull type bush hog before I got this 3 pt hitch mower.
The crazy wheel pin just flopped around in the mount as if bushings or bearings were missing.
The mount does have a grease fitting but with a fingers width of clearance that’s useless.
First stump I hit the weld on the big pin broke and the wheel fell off.
Anyone know what is supposed to be surrounding the big pin in the mount?
Thanks,Mike

Does it have 4 bolts around it like this?
I bought a flail mower one time where the pillow bearing was missing the bearing part & just had the housing w/zerk fitting & a collar with a finger's-width clearance

Nothing goes there. It is a king Kutter brand, built to be a cheap as possible. The swivel is a steel shaft through a steel tube.

No bolt holes looks like a section of pipe

I’ll look around maybe a sleeve will fit or possibly a duplicate size pipe/tube can be cut longways and collapsed to fit and tack welded.
Thanks,Mike

Does anyone see a downside to tightening up the clearance between the shaft and the tube?
Thanks,Mike

My KK cutter wheel pivot is not overly loose and does not flop around. I wonder if the wrong size tubing was used???

I checked the parts manual for my KK and it does not show any bushing or bearing of any kind for the tail wheel. I do know the my tail wheel pivot has some slop, I just shoot it some grease and let it flop but I see no reason you could not snug it up some if you wanted.

At best it’s a very poor design. Something could be wrapped and maybe the lift arms are not exactly true. The third arm may also have a sweet spot. You can probably get it to where you can live with it. Good luck friend

So, is the tube still okay, but the big "pin" on the tail wheel broke at the weld? If you want to reduce the slop in the tupe,a bronze bushing would be ideal. Maybe a just right size of copper tubing, or exhaust pipe?

Mine has some slop, but it's functional.
