I like to post my thoughts good and bad on products that I try. Hopefully it will benefit someone at sometime.
The previous set of teeth I ran on our Gyro Trac GT25 came from King Kong Tools. They just came off and here are the results.
Life - I was happy with the life at almost exactly 100 hours.
Cut - I was happy with the performance. Seemed to cut just as fast as Gyro Trac teeth.
But.... if you plan on using them, plan on switching for good. The tab on the back of the tooth is a little smaller than the Gyro Trac teeth and doesn't completely fill up the pocket. The extra space in the pocket gets packed full of debris. The debris is packed so tight that you need a hammer and small chisel or screw driver to get it out in order to put a Gyro Trac tooth back on, best case. I had a few pockets that were deformed. I had to use a die grinder with a small endmill to reshape the pocket so the Gyro Trac Teeth would fit. Luckily it didn't ruin the base. Those are no fun to change.
I had been warned about problems associated with the pocket/tab by a member on this board, but I already had them on the machine so it was too late.
So, if you decide to try them you will probably be happy with the teeth in general, but plan on making the switch forever. I would imagine that these problems would be compounded the longer you use them and eventually you would not be able to switch back without replacing all of the bases.
