King Cutter box scraper

How reliable are these..I was looking at one at Tractor supply.Price looked good,I could not see anything bad after a quick going over. Any ideas suggestions please?

I looked at the same box blade in the 5' model and ended up buying one made by First Choice. It was far more heavily constructed and the fit and finish were vastly superior. I posted some info about it and even some pictures. I've got a King Kutter 66 inch box blade and have been very happy with it. I'd call it a "value" piece. Low frills (scarifier adjustment is a bit of a pain), medium weight but perfectly servicable. It may not hold up to daily professional use but for a homeowner it should be just fine /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

I have one and its OK . I looked at all of the sizes in stock at Tractor Supply, and noted that my little 48" model is built with the same side plate and moldboard thickness steel as they build the bigger ones. I feel it is heavy enough for the size. There may be a size where this gauge material is inadequate.

I have slightly bent the flat steel arms where the two main 3-pt pins bolt through. This was done on a 20 Hp J.D. 4100 tractor (2500 pounds with loader on), while extracting up-to-4" tree roots. They will be easy to straighten, and once I have done that I will add a cross piece to beef it up. No big deal.
