4025 4wd. 8 hours and now have popped the 5 amp fuse... I think it is the fuel pump one. Anything simple to check before I call the dealer?

Inspect the wires from the fuse block to the fuel pump. May have a grounded wire. If you don't see anything then let the dealer track it down on warranty.

Problem went away last year....put 28 hours on tractor ...Blew 5 fuses just getting it back to the garage last night.

You have a grounded wire someplace. A multi-meter can help track it down. Disconnect suspect wires at both ends. Then ohm one end of the wire to ground. A test light will do the same.

What they said.
You likely have a wire chafing to the frame somewhere along the wire path. Disconnect at each end. Connect your meter or better yet a beeper (continuity tester on most DMMs) then wiggle and shake the wire along its path to simulate vibration to the other end. Look for pinch points. If you find nothing, only then do you suspect the pump.

You can pull the fuse and put a test lamp in line, visual evidence

Update, seems maybe 2 problems. First the Oil sensor sender wire was severed, Would this wire grounding cause the FIP fuse to pop? Second the connector plug was loose on the fuel injector pump (probable cause)? Putting some time on it today to see if this remedies it.

Just crimp the connector so it fits a bit more snug and youll be good

Most 1 wire senders are just a single switch to ground from a lamp that is powered when key on.

Thus, key on, lamp on, switch closed, after startup, lamp off because switch opens. Chaffed ops wire in that circuit would just make op lamp come on.

Loose plugs make for poor connections, lotsa possible problems. Correct plug fit and retest.

Lose connection was your problem. Lose connection increases circuit resistance. But I'd double check for frey on that wire.

Fixed the lose connection and seems to solved the problem. Now new problem. Backhoe is leaking down. Let it sit for around 8 hours and it had leaked downed almost to the ground. Where to start the search?

8 hours sounds about right for allowed rate of drift. Any specs in the manual?:confused3:

Couldnt find anything in the manual. But The tractor has sat for up to a month over the last year, and has not leaked down that much.

I don't know of any backhoes that wont leak down at least a bit overnight. Most will hit the ground especially after having a few hours of operating time on them. My B26 TLB if left unpinned will leak down about halfway in 12 hours and to the ground in 24. Stabs, bucket and thumb also leak down with time. Maybe not an acceptable situation but it is an accepted response from the valves on TLB's.

8 hours? and that's a problem?

if it was 8 minutes it might not even be a problem for 99% of jobs.

If you are looking for problems to solve that won't make much impact int he real world.. you can send 19$ a month to one of those places on tv that says they fix the life for hungry kids in ira-frica-istan.
