I don't know if I'm the only one or not, but after moving lots of fill dirt and other nasty barn wastes the tires (R4) on my TC34DA get pretty caked... I usually do a blast down the road to get the big chunks off, but they can still linger. Now I'm to the point where I'm so tired after working that I just stick ole blue back in the garage (dirty and all). Does anyone else have tips for cleaning the R4's or do they just say the heck with it. I like to use my pressure washer, but I find sometimes that thing makes more of a mess then it's worth.. How often do you keep your little blue gem clean?

Ohs well... I guess tractors are meant to get dirty... Maybe this weekend I can work on some dirt bike jumps! :D I Hope everyone is enjoying this weather...

I am still waiting for mud season to begin so I can get my R-1's and everything else muddy. Then I let the rain keep everything clean ;). Jay

To be completely honest I really do hose the tractor down when it really gets really muddy and the temperatures start to warm up (~ June :p). I can not say the same thing for my truck . Jay

In an effort to maintain marital bliss  (If momma ain't happy, ain't no one happy) I do try to minimize the amount of mud I track into the garage. We don't have a mud room & the primary access to the house is thru the garage - thus the family + two labrador retrievers track all that dirt in...

That said - my method is a high speed run thru the yard to fling as much as possible off, followed by the pressure washer.

i really didnt think much about it before the other weekend as my barn is currently still a gravel floor. I had burryed the ol girl up to the front axle and half way up the sidewalls the other day in a lower soft spot at the property i hadnt been before. (had to use the FEL to back myself out)

i promptly returned the tractor with front rims caked and all into its stall in the barn.... well 4 days later it dried out nicely and as i drove out it left perfect tractor prints of the tred in 2" dired mud on the floor

so now i do a quick run throgh the front yard in high to try to fling as much out of the treds as possible as i want to keep the dirt down inside the barn...
