I can't say that I've ever seen an ultralight without a muffler. Some of the sound comes from the intake but as others have said,,,,it's the prop making a good chunk of the noise. They do make intake mufflers but you don't see them very often. I have to wear hearing protection when I fly my trike even though the prop and Rotax are behind me.

I love this forum. I got hooked on this and read it from beginning to end. I've learned lots about neighbors, flying, property rights, and tractors. I learned all of this for free. We truly live in a great country.

I think I'll post about my home built gauge wheels tomorrow.

Scooby,

He barricaded the public road - preventing access - so no one could see his building of the strip. The strip runs across the road at ninety degrees and it is about six feet high. He changed the water course to suit his needs all without the public knowing. I can send you the web site privately if you wish.

The road has been in existence for over 250 years allowing many public activities over time.

An air tractor is a common name for agricultural spraying aircraft.

I guess theres reasons for doing it, like no workers in the fields, no beneficial birds or insects present at night . Theres been some discussion but i still think its way crazy.
