Keeper For 1500 Air Cleaner Bowl

I am looking for just the keeper that holds the clamp together, which holds the oil-filled cup to the base of the air cleaner. The Ford/NH 1500 and 1700 series uses the same parts....I think.

Any help appreciated.

The clamp and latch are one piece if you order it.

Thanks jones......I am not going to spring for $45 for one unless it's complete. I must have knocked my keeper (latch) off on a limb while I was bush-hogging. The oil-filled cup dropped down (but not off luckily). I have the ring hanging there with no way to make it tighten so I know it had some sort of latch on it.

I may "home-brew" a fix with the drill and a bolt-n-nut as opposed to giving $45 plus shipping for the real McCoy. It's amazing what a man can do with cable-ties if he has to!

Never underestimate what you can do with the bailing wire. That's my weapon of choice

Been a while since I was on the forum JC....but I remember you.

Thanks to all you folks (as usual). Thank god for being raised on a farm. I have "lived the city life" until I retired and got back into the tractor-fixin' business a few years ago. I just bent the ears on the band 90-degrees, drilled holes through the ends and put her back on with a small bolt-n-nut and a little blue locktite for safe-keeping......and I am around $60 richer for not ordering a new band too!

I was so proud of my fix....I posted a picture. The parts-predator wants $45 for the band and $16.50 to ship this monstrous thing that weighs around 8-ounces...at the most.

My fix....20-cents, two beers and the free labor.

Cool , same functionality and performance. Might take you one extra minute to undo it.. but who cares? good Job:thumbsup:
