My wife learned to make this dish a long time ago from Indian friends. I am always glad to see it!

Ingredients:
I lb ground lamb or beef
1 small to medium onion diced
1 whole serrano chile
4 cloves garlic pressed
14 oz can diced tomatoes and juice
1 tsp garam masala
1 inch piece of fresh ginger grated
1 large potato cubed
1 cup fresh frozen peas
1/2 bunch of fresh coriander leaves (cilantro)

What to do:
Saute the meat on low heat and break up
Add onion, garlic and serrano and cook for 5 min or less
Add ginger, cook 1 min
Add tomatoes and potato and simmer for 5 min
Stir in garam masala
Cook covered on low heat until potatoes are soft
Just before serving add peas and coriander leaves and simmer for 5 min

Serve over white rice.

Sounds very interesting Pat . . . showing the wife right now the recipe!

Sounds great, but I think I would put it over yellow saffron rice instead.
