It seems I'm in a similar situation as sodamo was this time last year. A few years ago my KB2375 boom began lowering itself to the ground and I suspected a slow leak at the valve. When I mounted the hoe two weeks ago, the slow leak wasn't so slow anymore! Now fluid pours out the top of the valve even when the machine is just idling. I purchased the parts manual to figure out what I needed, but can't identify which brand of valve is in it. How can I identify the valve so I can purchase the correct parts? If it matters, it is mounted on a CK30HST, all of which I bought new in 2004. Thank you.

More than likely, it is a Simco valve. There are two others Kioti used back then, I can find the names in my books if you need them, but it seems like the KB2375 bh had the Simco. If you had the schematics for each, they are very similar but do have some minor differences that you can see if you do some comparing to your valve block setup. I don't know where you live but Michigan Iron, Michigan Iron and Equipment, Kioti Tractors, Kioti Implements, Kodiak Attachments, Befco, Hound Dog Attachments, Dk Series Tractors, Central Michigan, is very good with figuring out what you have and what parts you would probably need. They ship UPS to just about anywhere and are reasonable in price. If you followed Sodamo's post, you should be able to make short work of the repair once you have the seals.

VictorW, you were right on both counts - it is the Simco valve and Michigan Iron is great. Thanks to the information in sodamo's post, I was able to fix it in half an hour once the parts arrived. I'm still reeling from sticker stock, though: a plastic washer and rubber O-ring shouldn't cost $15 plus shipping!

Glad you'are up and running. I agree that is pricey. Maybe try to match the o-ring up next time. Harbor Freight has multiple size o-rings in boxes of three grades and I've seen nylon washers at Lowe's. Just a thought and maybe what I'll try if mine starts to leak. I don't believe Kioti uses that brand of valve anymore and that could bring the price up.

I don't think that cost is that high when you consider the dealer's cost to maintain stock on these small "orphan" parts.
