JX85 Hard starting

OK I know you've all been on pins and needles so I have a minor update. My brother finally got time to check out his tractor a few days ago. He checked all electrical connections and still nothing. A neighbor was cutting wood at church today and he went out there and did some checking. He wiggles the pto shifter and the starter began working but did not start. After process of elimination, his conclusion is algae in the tank. He applied air pressure and primed and started the tractor. It ran a few seconds and cut off. Said the filters have never been replaced and the back one was dry after it started. Fuel smelled funky. He said the tank will have to come off and be washed out. That's gonna be fun. Nothing else will happen until at least Saturday.

I have some good neighbors! He came back yesterday and rigged up a temporary fuel tank and drove the tractor to his house. The tank comes off today while the owner (my brother) picks up a set of filters at one of his dealers on the way home.
