Some very cool trucks for sure.

I am very partial to the CJ2A. I grew up in Jeeps(Actually a '42 Ford GPW war production "GP"). The Scouts, I have long though were under-rated; they were a pretty decent rig, and much much roomier than the Jeep CJ series.

The RAM SRT-10 is one I would like to take for a spin...

Really like the old Power Wagons too. Amazing how for big trucks though, that era of truck had narrow cabs; three across on the front seat was a tight squeeze.

I sure love the old Flatties, but I don't fit into them too comfortably. I always wanted to stretch a flat fender tub and put it on a CJ8 frame (never got around to it though.) Funny that both are on the list.

I like the range of design of the old stuff, from the squared off look of the Scout II, back to the rounded fender look of the 50's.

Aerodynamic demands today mean that most production vehicles have a similar shape. That factor is really pronounced with cars, but still drives today's truck designs heavily.

I learned a few things from the write-ups with the pics, I always like to hear the history/details...

whats our definition of truck? Cause most of the wranglers listed (like all of them) are classified as passenger cars. (not requiring truck plates)

fav's from the list

mid 80's Toyota
40's power wagon
70's M715 Kaiser

Ah, the International Carryall. My dad lusted after one . Good thing he never got one, as the part replacement (not to mention the sheet metal) would have broke him! :greedy:

Happy with my '12 Ram 1500 QC.

Hey DM, we're building a Fantasy Garage here ! What are you doing bringing reality into it ?

;):)

As somebody commented, what's changed probably the most is the cab design. Going coast-to-coast in a modern CCab would be a comfortable drive.... a lot of the old stuff, not so much....

Back to fantasy land...... :cloud9:
