Yanmar YM1602D
the guy said it was a 16 HP,but when I look up tractor specs it says it's a 20 HP. So what is it really? And I want to get it ready for spring. The condition is average.I guess what I'm seeking is what should I do to get it up to par or better? and i should note that the bleeder on top of the fuel filter drips.

Those first two digits means it provides 16 hp out the pto. That's the important number for the Japanese rice farmers, to match to the right size rototiller.

Americans customarily market tractors citing the hp of the naked engine on a test stand.

There is one instance (YM2000/YM240) where the identical engine had a 20 hp engine tag on the Japanese version and a 24 hp tag on the US version. (Back when Yanmar had dealers here). So everyone assumes this 24/20 ratio for all the other models.

So around 19-20 hp is a reasonable estimate if you want to compare your tractor to an American tractor.

Those bleeder screws are available from the dealers who post on here.

Those little bleeder screws have an oring under them so maybe just that is due for a change.
