Just purchased military M-Gator A1 - Anyone have any experience?

I just purchased a 2014 Gator 6x4 military model (M-Gator A1). It was a private purchase from someone who won it at auction from Ft. Bragg.
Previous owner states that it was deployed with the 82nd in Kuwait. It has 200 hrs on it, and is pretty clean.
I have been in the market for a Gator when this came along. Couldn't pass up the low hours, and diesel powerplant.
Anyone have any experience with these units?

No experience with that model, but have had a 4x2 for going on 20 years and it has been extremely reliable. Recently changed out the tranny fluid and also added small amount of "friction modifier" on recommendation of TBN member, and the result was no braking noise.. that was a primo result.

Probably has some neat Military specified features. For starters, I see you can stack dead Taliban, on the back and front too.

Very cool - a lot more solid looking than even the normal ones.

It's about 250lbs heavier than the TH 6x4. It apparently has a beefed up frame so it could be certified for airdrops.

Front bumper and grill guard are the same as on my 4x2 '96 Gator.. without the brush guards outside the front fenders.
That is " was the same" until my grand daughters tried to take out a 4" maple tree..

Does it have the dump actuator on the rear box?

What is the Military designation? Probably M something.
Are the seats anything special? They look HD.
Same with the tires. Kevlar?
Any soft armor underneith.

Nice score. But why does the US gov waste so much money? I know this is just chicken sheit in the big picture. Same with all those EMP proof generators with twenty hours on them.

Looks like a neat machine. I had a civilian version many years ago and overall it was useful but I remember it does not do well in deep snow. I think the lack of ground clearance caused it to lose traction in those situations.

I look forward to seeing how you like it and what mods you make.

None of those UTVs do well in the snow. The tire sizes are a bad joke!

I added larger Kevlar tires and a mild lift kit to my MULE but I may be destroying the drivetrain in doing so.

Nobody into miniguns?
