Just picked up a JD2305! Had a BX, thoughts and questions.

Lord knows I've been a day late and a dollar short many times, this time it just worked out in my favor. He said the first guy was to indecisive and didn't seem sold, where as I told him cash no haggle and I wasn't worried about a scratch or a ding.

Good news is the tractor is in perfect condition, heck the entire bucket is still green. I got lucky this time.

I also have a 2010 "2305". I had it since new and now 320 hours. I have had great luck with mine. The only thing I would like to recommend - look on TBN for greasing the main driveshaft. The two u-joints have grease zerks. Some have stated they have had luck getting grease in with a needle adapter. I didn't I was dropping it down every 50 hours to grease, but installed a NAPA u-joint with a zerk on the end of one cap. Well worth it ($8.00 ea). Good luck

That rocker/side by side pedal is a big thing to some, I have both. I can't tell you how many time I hit the wrong pedal (side by side) accidently (frustrates me, lol) and with the rocker it's idiot proof. I guess that's why Kubota made rocker pedals, for knuckle heads like me, LOL

Thanks, I had just looked that up this morning. Appears I need to do some more reading and see what's the best way to get at them. I have a needle adapter for the pain in the butt drive shaft on my Ram 2500, ugh not again.
I'll look around and see about dropping it and installing an easy to get too fitting, maintanence items need to be easy to service.

Yeah for some reason my foot/ankle area don't like to bend that way, lol. I can see where some like it but my size 13's cover the whole thing.

My buddy is 6'6" and has a size 16 and it's a heel/toe thing for him where his foot covers both pedals on his L2800, it's funny watching him backup, he looks like a contortionist.

Got all the fluids/filters changed today, well besides coolant I had to order some. Seems no one cary's an old school green pre charged ethelyene glycol (sp?), I know some flush and put in a newer style coolant but I'm a fan of run what it had.
Dropped the FEL for the first time, I was very apprehensive but all went well until I had to redouble the thing and I didn't take a picture nor did my manual tell what color to what color and they didn't match.
Good thing I just searched here and found I'm not the only one who sometimes still makes rookie mistakes.
Very impressed after mowing at how well she turns, the extra 6 hp or so really shines, the machine is much quieter than my Kubota, overall I'm very happy with my purchase. I still don't like the deck height adjustment as it never seems the same and can be a pain to get in the perfect lock up position but some of that may be the dumb operator.

It looks to be an 09 Purchased in 2010, by the paper work and serial number.

RyeThomas, not operator error, we never got our deck to b consistent if we changed heights, trips to the dealer help, we just set it at one height and left it there.
