Hello All,

I just ordered my new machine. I'm very excited about it. B7500 Hydro with 60"MMM, FEL & R4's. I ordered from Carver. I felt they gave me a good price based on what the two local dealers gave me. They seem like a good bunch of guys.

Wanted to say thank you to all of you out there who have help me in my decision. I hope to be able to contribute more to the site as I start to use it.

Does anyone have any input regarding off loading their tractor from an 18 wheeler flat bed to a roll back car carrier?

This site is very well run and very informative.

Thanks again,

Dan

Congratulations, Dan. I'm sure you'll enjoy that tractor. Sorry I can't help much with getting the tractor from an 18-wheeler to a roll back; no personal experience, but depending on the relative heights of the two trucks you may (or may not) need some ramps for the job. I wouldn't expect it to be any big deal.

That's how I unloaded my B2710 when I got it. It's no problem if the people you have do it know what they are doing. I was there during the unloading so I could get my two cents in as it was my money on the line.

I'm told by Carver that the 18 wheeler is about 52" high. Where you able to find a car carrier that was close enough or did you need to use ramps? Also did you drive the tractor from the 18 wheeler to car carrier?

Thanks

Congradulations, I got mine last May and have really enjoyed it. The tractor is super capable. Good Luck, have fun, and enjoy your machine.

Congratulations! I got the same thing (plus a grass catcher) a couple months ago from the same place. They really make the purchase experience easy. I finally got a whole day to just Tractor around the house last Sunday and I don't know how I ever got along without it. A great machine to be sure. I'm having a hard time wiping the smile off my face!!/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif Happy tractoring!!

Congratulations Dan!

I know you will love that little tractor! I know that I love Lucy! Quite a capable little tractor; serious grunt power for only 1400lbs.

Congratulations !!!!!

I can't wait to see the picture of the new tractor but if you are like me I was too busy trying it out to get a picture :)
Only down side to getting the new tractor is now it will be even harder to go to work.

dtmarion...

I also purchased from Carver and had to make the swap from the tractor trailer to the ground. I called a local garage that had a roll back truck. Fortunately the roll back truck had some ramps, but because of the low ground clearance of the MM, the FEL was needed to raise the front end up as I back down the ramps till the MM cleared.
I was a bit nervous as this was my first experience driving a tractor like this and then to have to back it down ramps while lifting the front end up. All turned out well though.
Since the truck driver had a cell phone, I was able to keep in close contact as he got closer to my deilvery (he had about 6 others to deliver before mine) which worked out well.
All in all, I have been pleased with my purchase from Carver.

if the flat bed is 52 in. what is the height of the car carrier?mabey u can raise the back end of car carrier enough for a simple drive off the flat bed? right on to the carrier.or use a coupel of auto ramps to tranfer, just throwing idea's out there.

Here's another option Carver suggested to me when at we thought my tractor would be delivered by flat bed. Find a loading dock that will let you offload the tractor. A lot of them have ramps down to ground level. Then you can drive it onto the roll back or pick it up with your own trailer to get it home. Just some more options.

What about building a couple of small ramps or someway of getting the rear wheels of the rollback truck off of the ground to level the two bed up to each other?
