I made the plunge, put in my order today, now I'll be moving over to the Owning/Operating board for the advice I will be needing when it arrives, either next weekend or the one following. Thanks everyone for all your help!

Congrats, Angler. Nice choice! Be sure to post some pics when it arrives. I have 400 hours on my L3010 and am even more impressed with her than I was the day she arrived!

Congrats on your new 3010 /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Seem like 3010 should be the tractor of the year since lot of them are being purchase.

I had pretty much settled on the B2910, but when I saw the price difference to move to the bigger L3010 was only a few $100's, I went with the L3010. I asked the dealer what the differences were and he said that the B2910 had armrests and a telescoping steering wheel and the L3010 didn't. I'm sure there are more differences (and although I already bought, I'd probably like to know what they are!).

Well, the 2910 has a better power to weight ratio, so on slopes it'll be a better climber. The 3010 has a lot of extra mass, so is much better for heavy work. Since I log (and now dig) with mine, I opted for the 3010.

There was a really good summary of the differences between the two machines somewhere...I think it was on Steve Carver's site. In fact, I'm sure of it. Browse around his informational pages and you'll find it.

Be sure to tell us if you made the right choice!

Angler,
Both are great tractors. In my opinion the L series are more comfortable for the bigger operator since they are larger and heavier. Have fun with your new purchase.

Congrats Angler!
I joined the 3010 club too, less than a month ago. I have 14 hours on mine an love it. The extra weight is a big plus for my chores. I compared the seats on the 2910 and 3010, and the 3010 was much better for my liking. Though it does not have the armrests you can adjust the firmness of the seat. I didn't notice that feature on the 2910. I have R4's on mine not loaded. I've been impressed with the stability so far; but i might decide to load them before the summer is out.
Best of luck with yours! I'm sure you'll love it.

I now have a whopping 8 hours on mine after about a month! I enjoy looking at it since I have not had a chance to ride it much. When I have had a chance to use it I have liked the stability and generally excellent ride! I am sure you will be very satisified with your purchase!

I talked to the dealer yesterday, he will be dropping it off Saturday morning at 7am. That should give me plenty of time to learn how to use the landpride 1558 tiller. Just hope the weather cooperates.
